I don't want this to turn into a partisan discussion. However, I keep receiving e-mails from my very conservitave uncle telling me that not only is global warming a farce, it completely disagrees with the Bible. My question is, so what? What if global warming isn't real? Does that make it less important to find cleaner ways to live? If you are against people that are claiming to fight global warming, why? Please don't make this about right or left wing politics. I want to know who it would really hurt to do things in a more environmentally friendly way.

to Dr. Jello and others... you say that those that don't believe in global warming still care about the environment. That's fine, but why create such a big stink about a theory, when the solution to resolve the "problem," whether it exists or not, doesn't hurt anyone?

Why do you believe that just because you don't agree with the theory of man made "global warming", you must be all for adding more pollution to the atmosphere?

Do you think you can't be both against the theory while working to keep the environment clean?

What makes people think this way? Environmental control is a multi billion dollar business in the US alone.

Man made global warming is a farce, any warming is caused by the Sun. The planet hasn't been any warmer since 1998 while co2 continues to grow. There is no connection.

Big business interests lose money. That's what it really is about. And I've read the Bible and don't remember Global Warming being mentioned. I do recall some claims that the Earth is 6,000 years old and every intelligent person KNOWS thats a fallacy!

Geez I guess some people think the Bible has all the answers.

You're correct - we would benefit from decreasing our oil consumption and emissions in many ways besides slowing global warming.

1) Decreased dependence on foreign oil.
2) Decreased harmful emissions such as ozone and sulfur.
3) Economic benefit from a green industries boom.
4) Slowing of our consumption of non-renewable resources.
5) Slowing of ocean acidification.

Only enemies of the planet attack ,environmentalist
but the day will come when we will hunt them into extinction,
when survival of the planet becomes more obviously crucial to our own survival than it already is .

Beware the Pagan Dawn
when the skies run red with the blood of the dying Jehovah .and the meek will inherit the earth
or at least what is left of it .
