Well, i woldnt get an aquarium for a hamster.
They build up on moistre and that can seriously hurt your like hamster.
I would get a superpets cage. They are caged ones, and they alow a lot of ventilation. They are very easy to clean 2.
They cost about $30. They come with a mieral cone, a water sipper, a food dish, a ramp, citter cabob (chew stick), Food, and Bedding (carefresh).
But if you really want an aquarium, then ok. they are cool because then when they burrow, you can see them.
At petco, an aquarium will cast you about $10-$20.
When i got my firebelly toads, thats how much it was.
I dont know about now.

Good Luck
and Good Day!!

A ten gallon tank will be okay for a hamster, and it probably costs about $20, plus about $10 for the screen top. and you will also need a running wheel for physical and mental health, and a water bottle.
You may be able to get the tank at a thrift store for considerably less. It doesn't have to be new, and it doesn't have to be water-tight because you are not putting fishes in it.

I hope you aren't planning to fill that aquarium with water 'cause just to let you know hamsters cant swim. That would definitely not be giving your pour hammie the the best possible life!!
Besides, it's really fun getting your hamster a normal cage, than buying all these tubes to add on to it!

Try checking your local Goodwill or Salvation Army store or if you have IWANNA papers (or even the classifieds) ... usually you can find something like that pretty cheap; even if it's cracked or something and can't hold water, you can tape or epoxy it (tho wait a while before you put your critter in it) and it will work for your purposes.
