I married someone of a different religious background. He was Nation of Islam. I am Christian. He has converted, he is now Christian.

My ex was Jewish, I am Christian, we had the Menorah and Christmas Tree up, that was about the only part of our relationship that worked, we each respected each others religion. The Easter bunny and Passover Seder. It was not a problem

Yes I'm Jewish and I have dated Christian (Catholic and Protestant), Hindu, Agnostic and a brief affair with a Muslim....If you love someone their religion becomes irrelevant. I would never expect a guy to convert to my religion and I would never convert to another, I think its all about respect and plus its nice learning about someone else's culture and traditions.

I have dated men outside the church, and it never worked out. I also knew that I would never marry anyone outside the church. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:14: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? I knew that if I married someone outside of the Church of Christ, that I would have more problems than I wanted to deal with.

Yes. There had been harsh times and fun times.

It gets tougher when one says the relationship is a mistake because the other prays to God.

No.
But I would like to (in my next life! My parents will not allow it in this life!)
I think it is the whole aspect of "opposites attract" that makes dating someone from other religion so appealing.

My wife has a different religious background.

We share religions, though.

I ask her "why do Christians..." all the time...poor dear.
