Hi there...your cat would be considered a orange tabby domestic short hair (DSH). Here are photos of many other orange tabby DSH: http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=10&hl=en&q=orange+tabby+domestic+short+hair&btnG=Search+Images

Ask your vet. I found a homeless cat roaming around our house. We discovered she was pregnant and we fed her. We weren't able to catch her till after she had the kittens in our camping trailer, we raised the kittens, sold most of them and got her fixed. When we told the vet she had been a stray he was surprised b/c she was almost purebred Turkish Van.

It depends on the direction of his stripes. If they swirl then he is a domestic shorthaired tabby, if they are actual stripes my vets says that makes him a domestic shorthaired tiger (that's what is on my cat's paperwork & they look similar http://gallery.srhuston.net/v/Fauna/OurCats/PICT0013.JPG.html).
