Get a job first. Move to Calgary, Alberta it's the major city nearest both the mountains and the prairies. Gets very cold too, but then it doesn't stay cold for weeks on end like the real prairies. Don't remember people being nice, but then I was there for grades 5-9 so I wouldn't have.

I would generally agree with u r dumb (but not agree that California's Central Valley is the best place in the world with its growing congestion and sprawl and smogs and multi-car pile-ups on I-5) but after you move make sure you visit the East which is also great though the mountains not as high.

One caution for you about B.C.: You are going to miss the Cal-Mex restaurants and tacquerias. One surprise for you in B.C.: it [also] produces some of the world's greatest wines, some varieties of which (pinot grigio, for example) are better than anything from California.

coming from California I would say you probably would like vancouver for its mild weather.I would strongly suggest a job first ! Plus applying to live in canada they would expect to see that you are capable of taking care of yourself
