This is not a classic migraine with aura as has been suggested. It does not fit the diagnostic criteria based on the information in your question.
This needs to be worked up by your physician, and a good history must be taken. There are a couple of migraine varients which fit this description, and it may be a condition called SUNCT. These can all be treated but can be quite bothersome and will not respond to over the counter headache preparations, and as SUNCT is harder to treat, I would avoid alternative techniques until cleared.
Incidentally, SUNCT, means Shortlasting Unilateral Neuralgiform Headache attacks with Conjunctival injection and Tearing., which matches your description. Though a better history is needed before a diagnosis could be made.
See your doctor, and if possible a neurologist or headache specialist as soon as possible.
I wish you the best.

Sounds like a classic migraine with aura. You need a neurologist to treat you for this problem. If this is the first headache ever you need to go to your doctor as early as possible. If you have had headaches before you are probably safe, but still need to be seen by MD.

sounds like a migrane, they are often one sided but that is just a guess. migranes will cause you to see flashing light or streaks of light for sometime up to 20 minutes, it is called ora.
could also be a sinus infection, i have one right now and it is only affecting one eye, there is sharp pain behind my eye and around my cheek and nose.. go to your doctor just in case though
