Parents who do damaging things to their children don't realize how damaging it is. Why do they do damaging things and are not even able to say sorry? not even able to realize the effects?

I think they are continuously doing that because they don't realize how damanging they are. That's when it's up to the other people around that see this to grow some balls and say something. If you see a parent that has damaging behavior and they don't seem to realize it, you should say something to the parent... be like hey.... it can be in a nice non confertational way.

Depends on what it is? There's a disorder called Munchausen by Proxy which causes mom's specifically to do things that they wouldn't normally do and they may seem like good parents, but need the ability to be recognized. So they do things like making their child sick.

I wonder that too.
Well, in a lot of cases they are so narcissistic (immature) that they can't see the other person's point of view.
I'm involved in a situation like that. The mom's attitude is, "If I'm happy, everybody's happy." If that's true, she must be miserable!
The reality is more like, "If I'm doing what I want to, it doesn't matter how anybody else feels."

We are not perfect but yeah we should apologize to our kids as soon as we realize that what we said or did was wrong, but we don't do it cause we don't want to seem weak to out kids. I mean sometimes we don't know to what extreme it will affect the kids.

maybe they don't think it is damaging maybe you are reading to far into whatever is going on. they don't know they need to say sorry if you don't talk to them and let them know what is upsetting you so much. what is it that they are doing that you think is so bad?

they are stupid.God maked us to love each other and not hurt his children.You are his child as well and u want to hurt anyother 1 of his children?NO!!!That is just iggnorant of them 2 do tat.God is his mom and his dad.The childs parents are ppl he has had to protect his children.He gives parents that responsiblity and they just hurt the children and hurt every expectantion god has set for them.I just don't understand why they would hurt them like that...and mean to.So the answer to ALL of these questions are THEY ARE STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their human, not perfect, probably don't mean to hurt you but are ignorant of how things affect you, you will have to explain things to them, make them aware of what their doing to you, and how you feel about it.
