Great books for you would not necessarily be great books for me. I like to read science fiction almost exclusively. But you need to go to a book store and find some interesting reading for you based on your reading preferences.

Also read a book or two that is related to your destinations. For example, if you will be cruising to Alaska, find a book that gives information about Alaska history and cultures.

If you are cruising to the Mediterranean, find books about places like Rome, Venice, Pompeii, and/or Athens.

Baring these type just find a good novel; read the DaVinci Code.
