plaque build up can cause that, or maybe even grinding your teeth in your sleep is causing problems, see a dentist if your teeth is sensitive around that area or if it doesn't go away in a couple of days, I have sensitive teeth and have been busy at the dentist hear lately, have a spot swelled right now but mine is from gritting and grinding my teeth in my sleep which is another problem I am working on, Good luck!!

you may have poked it with som sort of food or you have somthing actually Stuck in there. it may be an infection too where your gum is filled with puss. go see a doctor
