Unfornately most people think you ripped the connector off the coax, which is what did not happen. You broke the connector off the TV's tuner inside the set. unless you repair tvs or are handy with doing difficult soldering work than this is for a professional. when that connector ripped out it has a small piece of flat wire for the center conductor. this wire is soldered into the small circuit board inside tuner can. if this wire ripped out of the board without cracking it, you most likely can solder a new connector on the tuner can and jump a small piece of wire from the center conductor of the new connector to the trace that once went to the old connector. Now if the board did get broken inside the tuner can than its a 90% chance you need to have a new tuner installed for the set to function correctly again. Lastly, this really isn't for the do-it-yourselfer.

Very easy to do. First, remove any remaining connector body from the female 'F' connector TV RF input. Next, determine what type of cable it is - it will likely be either RG-59 (thinner) or RG-6 (slightly thicker). Go to Radio Shack, Home Depot, Lowe's, or any home improvement store, and purchase a new connector. You will probably have to buy in quantity at HD or Lowe's. They even sell connectors that need no crimp tool - they just screw onto the cable end.
Depending on what type of connector you purchase, you must prepare the end of the cable to accept the new connector. They typically involves cutting back the outer jacket about 1/2". Pull the braided shield back over the cable, and expose the inner insulating material. Trim the insulating material back to expose about 1/2" of the center conductor. This centoer conductor will be the part that inserts into the female connector on the TV. If you have the screw-on connectors, simply screw the connector onto the cable, until the inner insulating material is flush with the inside of the connector body. The center conductor should be sticking out about 1/4". If you bought the crimp style (and the appropriate crimper), place the connector over the cable with the braid folded back, and crimp it on. Again, the center conductor should be sticking out about 1/4".
Good Luck.
