I'm assuming that it is a turkey that provides its own moisture and you do not have to baste it every 30 minutes or so like you would with regular turkey..

I have never heard of them before but I would think it would make baking a turkey so much better

They are injected with turkey broth to keep them moist while they cook. The butterballs are a self basting turkey.
Even with a butterball, put aluminum foil over the breast and legs for the first hour or so or it will burn
