Christians generally have a phobia, an irrational fear, about anything that claims to be from MAGICK. A phobia (from the Greek φόβος "Phobos" meaning Fear), is an irrational, intense, persistent fear of certain situations, objects, activities, or persons. The main symptom of this disorder is the excessive, unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. When the fear is beyond one's control, or if the fear is interfering with daily life, then a diagnosis under one of the anxiety disorders can be made.
Some therapists use virtual reality or imagery exercise to desensitize patients to the feared entity. These are parts of systematic desensitization therapy.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be beneficial. Cognitive behavioral therapy lets the patient understand the cycle of negative thought patterns, and ways to change these thought patterns. CBT may be conducted in a group setting. Gradual desensitisation treatment and CBT are often successful, provided the patient is willing to endure some discomfort and to make a continuous effort over a long period of time.
Anti-anxiety or anti-depression medications can be of assistance in many cases. Benzodiazepines could be prescribed for short-term use. These treatment options are not mutually exclusive. Often a therapist will suggest multiple treatments.
There appears to be NO KNOWN TREATMENT for Christians suffering from the fear of MAGICK or FEAR OF SATAN.

maximum don't have a difficulty with Harry Potter in any respect, extraordinarily in view that he's on the stable edge interior the books. a very vocal minority is confident that youngsters will exchange into devil worshippers in the event that they study Harry Potter. that's the comparable people who theory heavy metallic and Dungeons and Dragons might warp youngster's minds. I honestly have a feeling those human beings are not in touch with certainty in any respect. To be honest, Harry Potter isn't in all likelihood ideal for 3 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds (till they're quite hardcore youngsters, according to threat)- with the aid of no capacity interior the extra moderen movies. they're tremendously frightening.

Because crazy adults think that teens can't tell the difference between real life and fiction. They think that kids who read Harry Potter will want to practice magic and witchcraft because Harry and his friends do.

I think they are considered evil by some due the dark magic and the crimes written in the books and projected in the movies.
However i think that the books are great, the movies are overated and they miss out way to much of the story.

Many conservative Christians objected to the glamourization of witchcraft and occult content. I actually tried to keep an open mind, but was offended when Rowling announced Dumbledore was gay--after the series was complete??? What was the point of that other than pandering to the gay community???
There are a couple of positive themes that kids could get from the series I suppose, but they really are too dark for the target audience, and too childish for people old enough for the dark content.
I don't know if I would go so far as to call them evil, but I would call them borderline offensive and of questionable literary value.

I've often wondered about this myself. I know several families that spurned Harry Potter on a religious basis...but they were totally jazzed about Narnia...and about Lord of the Rings. I don't get it myself. It's a mystery.

Because they make beautiful stories and telling you spells are fantastic. But all of those witchcraft and spell stuff are actually evil. Curses are not designed for good purposes. It's like the movie "Tokyo Drift", street racers and gang members are outlaws, not heros!!
