What is a ground wire???

I need to connect it for a car but i dont know what i do with a ground wire...what is it? I know there are two wires, the ground and the battery wire??? WHat is a ground wire and where does it connect

It connects to the chassis. Find a metal point on the dash to connect it. It's actually the negative side of the battery.

Any wire that connects to the chassis of the car that has ground potential.
