This will depend on whether you are on treatment and when the seizure happened.
Ring your local donation centre and discuss it with them.
All donors have their medical history recorded and it is possible your donation could be used to make a blood by-product like albumen which helps to save lives. You never know what other useful material you have in your blood plasma that can be used for research purposes.
If you do find you can't donate then why not take a first aid course and be prepared to help someone in emergency.
Good luck

Of course you can donate. Epileptic seizures are a neurological condition confined to the CNS... nothing in your blood is responsible for a congenital neurological condition. Donate blood, and may you live long, happily and prosper for doing so.

Epileptic seizure is not related to your blood condition but the health workers would be reluctant to accept blood from a person known to suffer a chronic illness for at any moment that person might require surgery..hence, it would be better to abstain...
However you may help in other ways...

There's a good chance you can't, not because of the epilepsy but because of the anti-seizure medications you take, if you're taking them. If not, then there's no problem. But there are several medications that keep you from donating blood.

i think u can coz epileptic seizure does not infect ur blood, its a disorder of nuero cells in ur brain. but still to reconfirm it, when u go to donate blodd ask the doctor or nurse or who so ever takes ur blood and they'll let u know.

You will need to talk to your doctor about this.
What I think:
If it was major, you might not be able to and it would be better if you didn't. The last thing you want is getting really ill.
If it was minor then I think you could donate!

Most people suffer one seizure in their lifetime.
A single seizure shouldn't be any problem.

Generally yes. Although I would ask the folks at the blood bank to be sure.

Not sure if you could. Why don't you go to a session near you and ask, or try their website - www.blood.co.uk, or phone them on 0845 7711711 ? They're always very friendly and helpful.

I think you should be ok - it's not a blood disorder afterall it's a neurological thing.
Good luck - you are very admirable!
