Yes I believe it does. And for some reason it makes food taste so much better!! Just be aware that they do that to you.

Yes it can. I've been using Xanax for years for anxiety, and I will say that when I take it, I'm very hungry. Food also taste incredible.
This obviously wouldn't be listed on the caution/warning label...
However, I do think this medication needs to be incorporated in treating people with eating disorders.
Now... Off to go eat some more food.

Every time I take them I feel like I'm starving to death. Nothing can fill me up. Once I took a few because I was in a horrible panic attack and the next morning I woke up with no memory of it but apparently ate an entire 3 week old gingerbread house we were using as decoration...

I take it rarely now that my anxiety is under control. It does make you hungry, but more than that, you can eat more. However, I am not constantly eating. Just drink lots of water and be mindful that it's unhealthy to overeat.

I've taken Xanax for years, and have never had this side effect, nor have I seen it listed as a side-effect in any of the literature.

Causes the Ambien effect with me. Nighttime eating and not remembering the next day other than bed filled with cracker crumbs and popsicle sticks.
