know a person who is smartass..he always want to act as soeone who he is not ..he lies alot..he fakes alot...he is not honest person at all...he makes lies and talks behind people to show himself as a hero!!..that he is always right and people are bitchin to him...I hate this attitude...how do you put this person down if he has done somthing like this to you?...NO smartass answers pleas!!

How do you deal with a person like that? You don't. A person like that LOVES it when he is able to get a big reaction out of you - that's what he is going for....to upset you all for his own amusement. So, you giving in and telling him off would only make him happy. Why would you continue to have someone like that in your life? I just wouldn't choose to be around that person!

If u can't stand someone who is a smartass than u can't deal wit it. The best thing to do is try to tell that person that he or she is being rude and see if they want to change, and if they do than work with them but if they don't then u have to flee because if it bothers u now it will sure bother u later.

Ignoring him will NOT make him go away. An abusive person only gets worse if you ignore them. YOu are on the computer. Do your homework.
You do not have time in you life for someone like that, no matter how much you love them.
You are worth more than that and there is someone out there who will value you for the million dollars you are worth withou the verbal abuse.
Rock bottom may prove detrimental. Don't stick around.
Most people stick around in those types of situations because (1) They LLLOOOVVVEEE the other person, and (2) they know no other way.
There is a better way.

Beat him at his own game. Embarass his a-s-s. Once you call him out on his actions in front of his friends or family, he'll change. lol. No smartass likes to be called out or embarassed. You have to be a smartass as well. You have to be quick with words and witty with insults. ^_^

If you work with him then go to HR and complain. If not then call him out right there when you know he is lying or being a stupid smartass. Calling some one out when they least expect it always seems to work!

unfortunately, anything besides a good smack upside the head, will not work. he is not willing to see anyone but himself, and is into himself, why do you put up with it? I am sure that you have qualities which attracted him to you, and there have to be others, he can not be the only male species on the earth. Seriously, i see many of them on the street daily.

Just ignore him, showing him that will hurt more than words itself.
My ex bf was like that, he has diarrhea in the mouth, smartass, cocky, obnoxious, and when we broke up, i ignored him and that made him angry, to the point that more people were doing it and he just stopped

You mentioned partner ... what do you mean by that ... it doesn't sound like he's your boyfriend. If he's just a person you know, then you ignore it. People usually don't change. I would try to stay as far away from him as possible.

I just would smile at him and if he knows he did something wrong he will get mad being nice is a sweet revenge otherwise just dont talk to him I mean why put yourself in that kind of situation?
