All of us could say we would go back and change this or that about our lives, but the awful truth is, each and every one of us, given a second chance would do it all again, the same way.

As for world events, nothing. I believe everything happens for a reason. For example, imagine the over population of the Earth if there had never been any war or pestilence. Sad but true.

I would have taken more time to smile with my children. I wouldn't have worked so many weekends. I would have spent more time blowing bubbles and playing ball. I would have learned to check my anger at the door, when I had a bad day at work. I would have realized that not everything in life is oh so important, but some things you will never have again.

for all my children's gapped tooth grins, and hugs and bouquets of dandelions. I love each of you. May you be blessed by your children, and have none of these regrets.

personally: .. sure, there are a few things i would do differently. those things that at the time, i recognized that they were wrong, but did them anyway.
.

world wide events: .. if my status were the same as it is now, my actions to attempt to change world events would make as little effect as a drop of water can effect an ocean.

a person would have to know the exact string to pull in the midst of myriads of strings.

the idea of that is assuming that any persons ideas of what would be the right thing to change, and what to change it to.. would be correct.
.

we are living in the result of world leaders using their power to cause the direction of everyone else's lives to go a certain way.... and they think that what they are doing is correct.
.

its interesting that those of us who are not of world recognition status should imagine that we could do better.

I think the only thing that I would change is how I treated my dad the day before he died. I wish I had hugged him and told him how much I loved him. I was an awful brat...but then, I was only ten.

As far as everything else goes, I think it all had to happen. Even the bad things.

I would change one day that changed me from a happy young woman who was madly in love to a shell of person drowning myself in alcohol to stand myself.

I would not open the door to someone who hurt me.

I wouldn't change the past- you never know what minor events actually helped form who you are now.
and I wouldn't want things any other way personally.
worldwide *may* be another story...

Experience is the best teacher. Wanting to change your past is not wanting to know the power of God. God knows us and he know your destiny. Sure we would like to change things and so does God if we let him. You know when you look at it. Will it really make a difference about your life? If you could would it have the same consequences? Your thoughts and ways have not changed, but you would think I know what to do to make it better. Did you make it better the first time. Do you know as much as any? The best thing we could do is this. forgetting those things behind. Looking forward to change, when our faith is in God. Paul said I count all of my past and experiences and knowledge as dung. But to know Christ and his resurrection. To share in his suffering. Philippians chapter 3. We may have done what some said we did and be guilty of it. But we are not what they say we are since we came to know Christ.
