should that be a good enough excuse to stop a girl from becoming promiscuous?
do you think promiscuous girls really care what guys think of them? they obviously aren't looking for a man to respect them, they're looking for sex without having to deal with the commitments associated with relationships.

STD's would be a much better excuse not to become promiscuous, but not the fact that guys don't respect them. who cares what guys respect?

i dont believe promiscuous girls are disrespecting themselves actually, they are getting what they want.
the only way a promiscuous girl would be disrespecting herself is if she hated sleeping around but did it anyway.

Women are the "selectors" in sexual relationships. High status or high fitness women (aka the ones every guy wants) get to pick who they sleep with. Since they have this luxury they don't usually just sleep with anyone, anytime. The main reason, or at least the reason for much of human history is that, as a female you don't want to carry around the offspring of just some schmuck, you want the high status/high fitness male, so that your kids will be healthy, less of a burden etc. So, when it comes to "sleeping around", promiscuous women are seen as low status and the "just take what they can get" girls. No one wants to date low status partners, they want to date the highest status person as possible. Of course there are caveats to this, some women sleep with men to feel "loved" or "valued", people in general want partners with a sense of self value and being promiscuous may signal a lack of this.

Well that's not really the whole truth. I mean I really do not respect promiscuous girls. I think they are not worth anything but a one night stand if that. The think is sooner or latter they usually end up wanting to settle down and well if the guy knows that she has been promiscuous then he will want nothing to do with her. So in the long run all she is doing is hurting herself and her chances at finding a good man. =)

Keep urself totally away from such people u are talking about. 'promiscuous '- means immoral people. No No. It is high time West realises that no longer the earlier way of nomadic life is right.

I don't think there is any excuse. I agree with you on what you said about respect. Promiscuous people obviously don't respect themselves so how are they ever going to get other people to respect them.

I agree with you and I'm glad to see someone else with that opinion. I get so tired of hearing the "respect yourself" comment. I do have a lot of respect for myself but I also enjoy sex. I think denying myself something I enjoy just because of other people trying to force their antiquated ideas on me is a lot more disrespectful than me having sex with who I want.

Depends on the guys view really.
In my view, that's ok, so long as it safe sex. Though I wouldn't really participate in this sort of thing. Friends with benefits is better than this, the way i see it? Finding a friend that you know is safe and you can trust where he's been.

It is just a trick(no pun intended). You are right, they will not care. Why should they? It is their choice. If you make it a negative thing and reinforce then the behavior should stop. Fortunately, most people are too smart for that. Personally, if neither party has a problem with it then no one should care.
