"God"
WOULD NOT HAVE PLAYED FAVORITES (CHOSEN PEOPLES) IT WOULD HAVE GIVEN ALL HUMAN BEINGS THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO BELIEVE.

I have nothing against Jews by the way.

If God is all powerful wasn't he concerned that sending his only son to one little village in the middle east was a hopeless way to deliver the URGENT message of redemption to all the world?

Because, God is not. As simple. That way to understand life deals with chosen and outsiders, and you see, this is where we stand for that idea. This and that, friends and foes... The good thing about hinduism, is that they dont talk about a chosen people. Thats nonsense.

You may believe in some God, but think for a sec, can God has the same weakness as human beings? Weakness as judgements, favorits, chosen people. In those times, the jew God was a Yahve, a god between too many gods... And all, the same stuff. We are the ones, your, foreigner, no. This is one of the root for all evil.

The Jews have been chosen through fact they have been people who acquire the regulation at Mt. Sinai. They won it, they are to maintain it and prepare it and be a style of it. additionally, in Christianity, the Jewish persons are chosen to deliver forth Messiah, Jesus. Jesus replaced right into a Jew. apart from interior of Christianity, the Jews will as quickly as returned be talked approximately as upon by using God to coach the international locations of God and Messiah throughout the time of the Tribulation. Now, as for what are others? Humanity often are ALL advent of God. those observed into his kinfolk by using Jesus are his toddlers. The Jews are his toddlers through fact they have a covenant with God wherein they then won the Torah (Moses {won on Mt. suitable} rules) God isn't enjoying favorites, human beings refuse him, so as that they make their very own selection. EDIT - From a Christian perspective - I accept as true with Paperback that Christians are actually not the recent Jew. Utter nonsense. Christians are GRAFTED IN, no longer a replace of.

I'm Jewish. We're not chosen to be "special;" we were chosen for a job. That job was to receive the Torah, and to try our best to be a good example to others by following it. Our tradition says that God offered the Torah and the covenant to every nation on earth, but Abram (who would later become Abraham) was the only one who said yes.

It's sort of like saying that you love one child more than another because you chose him to do the dishes!!!

Depends. Does the term "Chosen" refer to those people that God chose, or does it simply refer to those who "chose" to believe in the right God? After all, we all have free will - meaning that we get to choose what we believe. Maybe they just chose better than the others.

Jews were the chosen people in the Old Testament, yes. But it was made very clear, once Jesus died on the cross that now we are ALL God chosen people. We all have equal opportunity! God is there waiting!

fyi, if you look back in history, the middle east was the heart of civilization. All the educated scientists, mathematicians, and inventors form that era were middle eastern. Thats why it was a good choice to spread it from there.

The Bible only _says_ there is a chosen people. Remember that the Bible was written by humans, who naturally wanted their ethnic group to be counted first in their deity's regard--as all ethnic groups do.

Just because you _say_ that your god considers your people to be the 'chosen people' does not make it so.

Hey, thats the only reason he smited all the firstborn sons of egypt; they were born in the wrong religion.

edit:

For those who think they know the bible:

Exodus 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Sounds like favourites to me!

The quote in Galatians 3:28 is Paul's letter, not God's words or actions, which is clear in Exodus 12: 29, 30

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galations 3:28...

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, EACH according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

Romans 12:3

You must not read the Bible huh?
