I am a tatoo artist .I understand cleanliness and how to tattoo IM COVERED and have tattoos from all over the world so im not looking for advice just shop names and or address if possible tx

Cant really tell you exactly the address but it is in downtown Cancun. They have a few shops there. I got one small one there back in 2002. I know both are up some stairs. One is over all the souvenir shops and the other is on the side of coco bongo. Have fun while your down there. I know I didn't give very good details but I hope it helped a little.

Anyhow, I've read good things about Monster Tattoo in Cancun. Granted, alot of it is stuff from girls who got dolphins on their backs while on spring break....you know, "Oh my god, I got the best tattoo when I was on spring break at monster tattoo...it's, like, so cool and cute!!!"
But, if you look at BMEzine.com, it looks like there are at least a couple of talented artists that work there....

Agree with the first answer... I would VERY seriously consider dropping the tattoo from your itinerary while in Mexico! There is simply no way to guarantee that the safety protocols that are followed in the US are going to be followed in Mexico. You may return from your vacation with not only a sunburn and a tattoo....but also a nice case of Hepatitis C. Honestly, skip the tattoo while you're there. Vacations are a lousy time to get a tattoo, anyway...especially if you want it to heal properly.

you're going to cancun specifically to get a tattoo? i'm pretty sure that cancun is not a place renowned for it's amazing tattoos. it's more about the "wooohoooo we're trashed so let's go get tribal sun tattoos man!!!"
also, if you're a tattoo artist would't you probably have connections and know people who know people who could point you in the right direction? there is NO WAY i would get tattooed in mexico, period.

If you dont mind a littleside trip go down to Playa Del Carmen and see Manual Behinde cindys beauty shop ave 5a plaza ranita. He did a great Tat for me it is still one of my fav works I have

The only people I know that go to Mexico
to get inked are underage...It's not the
safest place to go for good art.

Dont get a tatoo in a foreign country. They have different health standards than America, and if you were to get an infection or something worse you may end up having to get treated there too.
