Yes, most of us do get along in everyday life.
No, only those who respect others' opinions deserve respect for their opinions. And only those who tolerate others deserve tolerance. That clearly leaves some of the people here out of the game.

Yes, I agree that I disagreed with the atheists Or any other false religion on this site, I will never sway away from what Truth God has shown me for over 37 yrs. as a Christian, i have been a Christian longer then many of the people on this site that have been on this earth. I do know there are a few older then me, But very few in the amount of yrs. of being a Christian. Now the only thing I will agree on is that I disagree. Let me ask you something, will there ever be agreement between God & satan, No, between Right or wrong, No. Between truth & unbelief, NO.

Great question. The answer is no. While you are looking for peace, the atheists are NOT. Case in point: I posted a question that read 'For my fellow christians.....', I posted an atheist joke on there. A couple of christians laughed at the joke, but most of the answers came from atheists who were offended. The question was specifically designed for christians and most of my answers came from atheists. Atheists flock to christian questions like flies. They WANT to attack us. They do not want to peacefully coexist. They laugh at us. They think we are stupid. They have waged war against us. But I'm not afraid. It's a free country and they have a right to be here. But the persecution factor just confirms my belief that we are right. After all, atheists don't attack buddists or hindus. They don't attack muslims as often. Christians catch most of the harassment. However, while most atheists appear to be moral, they ALL are corrupt. God is the author of all morality, so if they do not believe in God, how can they possibly be moral people? While many atheist appear to be intellectuals, they ALL are fools according to the Bible. Here is some brutally honest truth, and I don't care if they all thumb me down. Atheists are being controlled by the devil and being used by him to attack christians. They are all puppets being used by the forces of darkness. That is the TRUTH. I hope this answers your question.

Not everyone will agree on everything but the discussions can be done in an intelligent manner. And make an effort to back up what you are writing. And to Christians if you give book, chapter & verse--DO NOT take out of context. You can quote one verse and it may seem to prove your point but when read in context with the surrounding verses it says something totally different.

I've never seen an atheist telling a christian that they should be killed, or run out of the country, or tortured in some mythical hellfire afterlife. However, I see christians on here everyday doing that to atheists. So, who is it that is causing the problems? I might laugh at christians and their cult fairy tales, but I don't want to see them hurt, nor do I want to see their rights of free speech and religion removed. I think they should be free to believe whatever they want, but they should keep those beliefs out of politics and science. I won't go into their church and tell them what to do or not to do, and they should have the same respect for others.

as long as there are 2 people on earth you'll have 3 religions and 4 different opinions
someone will always value there point of view more than someonelses
take the crusades 4 exaple who was wrong and who was right? as both sides were fighting for there religion and there god
thus there will always be a war
if there was no politics or religion there will be no conflict
as the saying goes " if you want peace prepair for war"

I assume you want a serious answer. I do not believe there will be peace between them as long as one keeps provoking the other. Both parties are guilty of this and would have to agree to cease all hostile activities. In short? No, no there cannot, sadly.

I'm with Tawaen, so to speak...
I respect people who aren't intolerant bigots. I refuse to respect intolerant bigots. If people disrespected more intolerant bigots, not only would America and the Middle East be more peaceful and educated places, but we would all be safer.
Disagreement is one thing and always cool with me, I can agree to disagree...but slander (calling people 'evil', 'abominations', 'liars', etc etc for not believing in your deity) ...
...is a whole other story...
I wish all the German Christians (and atheists etc) had stood up to the intolerant bigots in the 1920s and 30s...think how different it could have been...

I think Atheist are like our early Philosopher like, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, they like to do a lot of critical thinking and always challenging their ideas. Looking for the good life, ethics, and etc. Christians are taught to just have faith and have no critical thinking. They believe that they are right and we are all wrong and anything not stated in the bible is sinful and evil. Yeah i don't think this conflict will ever end.

i trust there might want to be peace because Christians are taught to love, forgive and carry an open heart for all and assorted. mutually with non-believers. regardless of the actual undeniable reality that I doubt a real expertise might want to ever be reached. i imagine secretly the Christians might want to decide the Atheists because us Christians might want to easily experience so sorry for the non believer.

I am trying really hard to respect all beliefs and learn more about where the atheists are coming from. I have the feeling some people do not take me seriously, but I'm at least making an effort. I definitely don't want to be one of the people who get on here and rant and insult people of opposing beliefs.
