I kinda believe in christianity all my life, I'm 16 but the bit about non christians going to hell, I don't for one second believe this, and I never will. Hearing so many christians say that about non-christians I had many doubts, I will never believe it, it's one of the most illogical things I've ever heard... My god will never let someone be tortured in hell, I think I'm losing touch with christianity. The fact is I want to be, but I will never ever believe god would judge non-christians and condenm to hell forever... i understand this is illogical. I am still a christian right?

Many Christians believe that all non-Christians go to Hell, but it is a very differing topic. Yes, there are many verses in the Bible that say that you can only come into Heaven through Christ and it is a hard fact to believe. I think you should talk to a pastor or someone who is a strong Christian that you know. By thinking about this, you aren't doubting your faith, you're actually strengthing it. All Christians have ups and downs in their faith and right now, all you need is someone to talk to about this.

The Hebrew and Greek words translated into English as hell just means the common grave of mankind. Meaning we all die and return to dust. When someone dies they have received the punishment given to our ancestors Adam and Eve " you will positively die in the day of eating the fruit". We inherit their sin and thus must die. So we ALL go to "hell" - we die.
Reason: Would it be justice to sentence a child to 10 years in prison for stealing a candy bar? The punishment must fit the crime. God, perfect in justice and mercy, would he sentence a man to burn and be tortured for eternity for say 70 or 80 years of sin? Would the punishment fit the crime? No! He is a God of Love.
He gives everyone the opportunity to repent and live a life that is harmony with his will and purpose. If they reject him, then there is the second death. No resurrection from death - total destruction. If they died in ignorance then they will be given the opportunity in the new earth under his kingdom rule.

Being a Christian means you belong to Christ. Unfortunately, Jesus said a bunch of things like, "None can come to the Father except through me." So you have to decide whether Jesus is really God or whether he was just a frickin' lunatic. Dang troublemaker, Jesus...

As far as all non-Christians going to hell - well, that's not at all for any Christians to decide. God judges the heart and decides whether or not they've submitted to God and he reveals himself to each person. But for people that have known of Jesus and outright rejected him, well, there's always that last chance at the moment of death. Maybe Jesus reveals himself to people then and they get a chance to choose.

Are you a Christian? Only you and God know whether or not you've ever really said to Jesus that you want him to be the Lord of your life. If you do want to serve Jesus, though, you've got to deal with what he said.

i don't have self belief in "Biblical inerrancy" and yet many non-Christians label me as a "fundie" and "evangelical. I take a touch tutorial/scholarly recommendations-set to the Bible. besides the undeniable fact that, in spite of if I have been to take a thoroughly literal view of the full Bible (inclusive of the e book of Revelation) I nonetheless could no longer justify the theory in an eternal torture chamber. The wages of sin is dying. The lake of fireplace is the "2nd dying" the place dying and Hades are destroyed constantly. that's why an "eternal hell" does not make experience. The soul has in no way been certain eternal existence. that's why Jesus got here...to grant us eternal existence (John 3:sixteen). Even eternal torment in hell continues to be eternal existence.

No. Christians are FOLLOWERS of Jesus Christ and His teachings. Jesus Himself taught a lot about Hell. He spoke about it more than about heaven. You should really study the Bible. It will help you to understand this. People DO go to hell. There is a real place called hell, and all unrighteous souls will go there when they die. An unrighteous soul is someone who DOESN'T BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. So, that would make them a non-Christian, as you put it. I'm sorry this scares you, but it should. Please study the book of Revelation, and have a Pastor explain it to you. It is about what is going to happen in the future. This is why Christians are so intent on telling the Gospel for the very reason Jesus wants us to. So that no one should perish in Hell. It is our duty as Christians to spread the gospel to all those we can. If you think no one is going to hell, I'm sorry, but you are wrong. Please study the Bible! God Bless

Whatever some churches have lead people to believe hell (Sheol) is the common grave of mankind. The few references in The Bible to fiery places are to emphasize that death is a final end unless faith brings resurrection to a new life.

Yes, indeed! Jesus himself taught that we don't get to judge, because our understanding is imperfect. He is the Judge because He has a greater comprehension of what each person faces. He has also taught that we will be judged according to our knowledge, not according to some possibly unknown standard. Good people receive good rewards. The Christian Gospel helps us to live a happier life here and now, but as for eternity, we will be judged according to our hearts. God is a loving God and does not want His children to be far from Him unles they have knowingly chosen it.

Be a christian, trust and believe is important. Other logic or senses are dreams. Be master your believe, the master is your god. Good luck.

I would say you still are a Christian...and likely better than average. Understanding God's love and compassion is key.

How about try reading the Bible before you jump to conclusions. It's very interesting and enlightening.

John 14:6 Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

To recieve eternal life, you must repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ to be your personal savior.
