It's more fun to actually call them GEESUS because it creates a weird feeling around everyone present. As if the real Jesus is going to show up. It is a pleasant uncomfortability. Name more kids Jesus.
However, I don't like that Grace Slick from the old Jefferson Starship naming her kid "God." I would be disappointed as a teacher if God wasn't doing so well in school or didn't have the answers.

No. By the way, everyone named Joshua is named "after" Jesus. It's the same name.

Lots of people do, or some language equivalent, it's the Greek and Hebrew blend for "Joshua".... (which I always find funny that people shorten to Josh.... How do you make the name Jesus into a nickname? Do you call your kids "Geeze"?)
Sacrelige aside, Joshua would be the English language version of it...

No, because Jesus' name wasn't actually Jesus. It was closer to Yeshua.

Speaking as a Latina, not a Christian,
I'm perfectly OK if you decide to give your child a Latino name.
I don't see why Christians should have a problem with it =]
