My husband had a stomach bug for about 12 hours. He feels fine now, but I still am not sure if he sure be around our 8 month old son. I have disinfected everything he has touched and right now...I have banished him to our bedroom :).
Does anyone know how long this kind of thing lingers for? How long is he contagious?

If memory serves me correctly, there is an incubation period for that sort of thing before the symptoms even start. Chances are the baby has already been exposed to it. Break out the Lysol (which it sounds like you already have) and go over everything. Especially any wet areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Just to be on the safe side, you should probably be the only one handling the baby for a day or so. Other than that, it sounds like you have the situation firmly under control.

over the counter drugs like Pepto at the instant are not for flu and can furnish a toddler Reye Syndrome so do not provide that! Take a organic path. 7up is sweet for the tummy and Gatorade will fill up electrolytes from thowing up. i could additionally provide her a multi nutrition 365 days around to avert disease. If it lasts longer than 3 days, i could look for scientific interest because it would desire to be something greater.

Could be bad food you ate. Probably safe now, but if you're not sure, keep him away from close contact with husband for around 24 hours

it was most likely a mild form of food poisoning. most flu bugs last for at least 24 hours, if not longer. he is probably not contagious at all, so i wouldn't worry about it. :)
