Just to be sure, call one of your pet cemeteries in Orlando. They will be able to give you the regulations in your city. It may be that you can with conditions, such as depth of grave, pet's body needs to be seal in a container, etc.

I tried doing a search for you, but couldn't find any exact information.

Here is a pet cemetery that had excellent reviews.

I hope your question is for pre-planning. If your pet has crossed the rainbow bridge, my heartfelt sympathy to you.

Purrs and prayers for you and your pets.

You may want to call the city hall and ask. It alot of big cities and towns its illegal to bury your pet in your yard if you live in the city limits due to all the building of new stuff all the time they don't want to be diggin up dead pets. If its illegal in your area most places have pet cemetaries for people to bury there animals. Also you can always consider cremation. However, even if you did bury your pet at home, whos really going to ever know?

Most cities will tell you that it's illegal. I personally think that's a crock; I say bury your pet there if you want to. It's not like the backyard police are going to come around and check to see what's back there.

I never ask this question to anyone before. If I wanted to bury my pet in my yard, I did it. I guess there may be laws about such things but I sure would not care myself. If I want my pet in my back yard then I will put him there. For all anyone knows I am digging the ground for a tree or whatever.

You should check with your city or town hall. Even though this used to be common practice for many people, many locations have outlawed it now.

The health department is worried about disease being spread into the underground water systems and into the drinking water, and the city is worried about you damaging lines or pipes when you dig in the yard.

Good luck, I hope that you find the answers that you need.

I'm not really sure why you would want to. That's because the groundwater level is so high in that part of Florida that the animal would literally be soaking in water. However, it's up to you what you want to do.

I'm with craft painter! My kids are buried in my yard and I don't care who likes it. I wouldn't ask anyone. ;)
