I capitalize the "g" in "god" SOMETIMES when referring to the Judeo-Christian, Biblical, Abrahamic deity Yahweh, but I usually include his entire title (like I just did). I won't capitalize anymore. I usually try not to anyway. It's a bad habit.

I prefer not to take an oath to any kind of Commandments, or idolize anything or anyone at all... sounds too much like a religion.

I agree to all except the second.
I will not capitalize god unless it is grammatically incorrect.
But if I'm referring to the Abrahamic god, then, yeah, I will, because in the context of theological interpretations it is a proper noun.
