Any soups that you can make well. Even one out of a can. What will make her feel really good is to tell her when you serve it that you love and appreciate her.
Here is an especially easy one and one of my favorites. But you absolutely must know that she likes mushroom soup. If she doesn't, she won't enjoy this.
Ingredients needed: 1 can concentrated mushroom soup. The one with the red label, 1/4 lb. button mushrooms (the small white ones (although any kind would probably work), butter and milk - whole, 1 or 2 % OK although better with whole. .
Put can of mushroom soup and 3/4 can of milk into blender and blend until smooth. Clean mushrooms, discard stems and slice about 1/4 inch thick. Saute in a little butter until slightly wilted and beginning to brown. Add blended mushrooms, lower heat and stir until well mixed and flavors have melded. Check seasonings and add salt and pepper if needed. Serve warm with saltines or her favorite soft bread.

2 Crenshaw melons, roughly chopped into 1 to 1 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup honey
Gray salt
2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
1 cup yogurt
3 tablespoons grappa
10 crostini bread sticks, accompaniment
10 thin slices prosciutto, accompaniment
Place melon cubes, lemon juice, white sugar, honey, and a pinch of salt in a blender and puree for 1 minute. Then add the mint and yogurt and puree another 1 minute. While pureeing, add the grappa. Transfer the puree to a glass pitcher. Refrigerate. Serve with crostini bread sticks wrapped in prosciutto to enhance the soup's sweet flavors.

You would need to make a soup with soft things like maybe chicken noodle soup. You can make broccoli and cheese soup, something to that effect.
I have a wonderful potato soup recipe that my Mom just kind of created.
Cube several potatoes and put in large pot. Chop up an onion and several carrots and add to cubed potatoes. Add enough water to cover the potatoes. Boil potatoes until tender. Add tomatoes and juice and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add just enough milk to make it creamy. Take a can of spam and chunk it up and put in the soup. Let the soup simmer for a while and just before boil, take a block of medium cheddar cheese and cut in slices. Add the cheese to the soup and bring to a boil.
I would stay away from soups with tough pieces of meat.

Well, my guess is, she's not going to feel like chewing on much. Why not make her a nice butternut squash soup? This all gets pureed so it's super creamy!
* 2 Tbsp canola oil
* 1 Cup chopped onion
* 2 Cloves garlic, chopped
* 3/4 Cup thinly cut carrots
* 1/2 tsp ground cumin
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
* 4 Cups butternut squash, cut into 1 inch chunks
* 1Tbsp minced jalapeno
* 31/2 Cups chicken broth
* 1/2 Cup half and half
In a large pot, over medium heat, add canola oil, onions and garlic. Saute until softened and just starting to brown, about 5 minutes. Add carrots, cumin, salt and pepper and cook another 3 minutes. Add the squash, stock and jalapeno, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat if necessary, and allow to simmer for about 30 minutes, or until squash is softened.
If you are lucky enough to have an immersion blender...blend in pan until smooth and creamy. If however, you are like me, you will need to scoop it into a blender (or food processor) and puree it.
Return to the pot and add half and half, stirring to blend well.
If you are really creative you can serve this in hollowed-out squash shells!
Also, a little dollop of sour cream on top, before serving, is divine!

You can make a quick, homemade tomato soup by pureeing a can of stewed tomatoes, adding a dash of worcestershire, a teaspoon or so of brown sugar, a couple drops of hot sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. You can make it Italian by adding a bit of basil and oregano. Warm it gently and add a little water if it seems too thick.
