It might help for you to go to a bible study but I can tell you what I think. You need to study for yourself too. I believe God is the supreme being that created everything. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving. I don't think of him as an old man sitting on a cloud but I do believe he is the greatest positive energy in the universe and beyond the universe and it boggles my mind how anyone would want to worship a god who is anything less. He is what guides me, fulfills me, helps me to be the best person I can be. He helps me be a loving person and helps me guide others to be the same. My life has never been better or more blessed since I have followed him.

If yall don't believe in god than think about it this way.

It doesn't make scence that the earth could just bam and be made. Its like a fan without someone to put it together the parts wouldn't just fall together their must be a greater power thats how i know. And hay what other choice do you got if you believe you have a chance to go to heaven if you don't believe in anything than its not gonna help ya at all! I dare you all to read the Whole Bible and then say that its all made up I DARE YOU FRONT TO BACK. Obviously the only thing you've read is some made up sh it from an athiest who wrote a book they got rich for telling lies. Hel l why don't i write a book about how we were all aliens when we were born and then we evolved i wouldn't cause the public would b soaking up sh it into their little gullible heads!

at first GOD does no longer provide you from now on of an ordeal than you could guard as long as you pass to him for help. 2nd of all giving up your faith for a 2nd of delight should not be truly worth it. 0.33 in case you do no longer comprehend in case you have self belief from now on think of of this. only approximately all the prophecies have come authentic, inclusive of the days transforming into shorter. each and each time a actual substantial earthquake hits, the day gets shorter by using a million 2nd or greater. This has been taking place for a whilst now. examine it in Revelation then look it up. And in case you have doubts then tell me how a Prophit 2000 years in the past would desire to comprehend this would take place

"In the beginning of the contest with Great Britain,
when we were sensible of danger, we had daily
prayers in this room for divine protection. Our
prayers were heard, and they were graciously
answered... Have we now forgotten this powerful
friend? Or do we no longer need His assistance?"
I have lived a long time, and the longer I live,
the more convincing proofs I see of this truth:
'that God governs the affairs of man.' And if a
sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His
notice, is it probable that an empire can rise
without His aid?"

I think you should consider the fact that, although you are trying to convert her, you yourself cannot answer this most basic of questions.

Are you going to church out of habit and/or tradition, or because it answers your most basic questions?

It sounds the like the former, since you have no answer for the latter. If you cannot fully understand the concept of your faith and religion, why on earth would you ever attempt to convert someone else into a belief you don't understand?

It sounds like you should be asking the exact same questions, not just try to find and answer for her.

God is the one and only one who loved us even when we are unlovable (sinful state). Since God cannot look on sin, He gave us a free gift, which we have the option to accept. God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay for our sins, by being the "perfect" sacifice, as payment on the cross, so that we can accept His action of atoning blood, that covers our sins. After accepting Christ as our Savior, and following His commands in the bible, we are His and saved by His grace, mercy and love, through our faith in Him only.
Hope this makes sense.

God is all good and perfect. When she askes who God is tell her that he is the creator of all things. He all great and full of love for his children whom he never forsakes.

When she asks what can he do for her ask he what hasn't he done for her. He woke her up, brought you and her family to her, and gave her everything he needs. The reason she doesn't see clearly is because she does not know him. She should start with faith and trusting him with her problem by keeping an open relationship with God he will begin to reveal himself to her. Its starts with prayer and faith and things will be revealed to her.

Remember the actuall Church is not God

He is Master, Creator of all that exists.
He is Eternal; He always was and always will be, the great I AM.
He is Savior, God in flesh the man, Jesus.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

What He does for her and everyone who accepts it is save her from eternal damnation because of sin.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Tell her The Truth... First you have to know who The Truth is... do you?

I invite her, and you, to visit my website... it is just one old man going on a bit about the God stuff... it is more for the non-believer who just wants some of the basics without being high pressured to join up RIGHT NOW.... but all are welcome to visit. http://www.mikesfaith.com

So, what did you answer her when she asked you?
It's a great question. If you didn't have an answer for her, are you doing some soul searching as to who or what God is to you?
