Why is this religion always contradicting itself. Maybe someone can explain to me the following questions:
* According to the First testament Jesus (Messiah) the bibble states that the Messiah will return for it's people during thier life time. Well we are now in 2007.
* If there is one Heaven and one Bible why do we have so many different religions? Why do some poeple accept one testaminet and not the other,
* Adam and Eve had children and their children had children so on and so forth? So their was incest involve?
* Why are early Persian Religions so alike to the Catholic Religion during early Christianity? For example,Zoroastrianism

Actually i asked a pries about question number 3. First he was upset that i even brought up the question because that meant i was questioning my faith. His response was that during that time that was the only way people were able to reproduce with the addition that the commandments were not yet given to the people. I mean this doesn’t really answer my question..

I will "answer" your question by raising more questions.
In the first place God made a covenant with his people, the Jews, that He is their God and they are His people. Then, God sends His only son in whose name a religion is founded where all peoples of the world become God's people if they choose to be Christians? Why this enormous contradiction?
2) All those who turn believers will be saved; what happens to their ancestors who had no chance to be Christians? If I turn Christian I will be saved, but my parents who are not Christians will remain condemmed to hell. Makes sense?
3)We are all born in sin. This is a principal Christian belief. Does this make sense?
4)If I believe in Christ I will be saved. So this means God has condemmed all His other creatures to eternal damnation. A God who in the first place had only made a covenant with one people, the Jews, then contradicts Himself and says believe only in my Son to be saved. This means all original covenant keepers, the Jews are betrayed, their contract with God only continues if they turn Christian!! Makes sense?
All the principles, of a great conflict between good and evil, the coming of a saviour, the final resurrection, heaven and hell, angels and demons, prayers and contact with God, were original Zoroastrian principles clearly available in Zoroastrian scriptures the Gathas, the language structure of which has been dated by philologists and linguists to atleast around 1000 B. C. The bible bagan to show these beliefs in their writings after the Jews came in contact with Persians during their captivity in Babylon when Cyrus, the Persian king, freed them and financed building their temple. Cyrus is called anointed of the Lord in the old Testament.
Actually the Christianity you know is a fabricated build up around the personality of Jesus, by the Roman emperor Constantine, who was desperate to have a unifying religion for his far flung peoples in his vast empire. Do you know the birth date of Jesus, December 25th, in also the birth date of Mithras, a Persian angel, turned into a cultic god by the Roman world?

Why are you blaming your confusion of the Bible only on the Latin Rite Catholic Church when all Christians faiths accept the Holy Scriptures of the Bible not just Catholics?
The OLD Testament does not say that the Messiah would come in any specific time.
In the New Testament Jesus died not say when the Second Coming will be. In fact He says that no one but God knows the day and hour.
There are many Bible translations and many Churches but not because of the Catholic Church. It is because of the ego of man. Jesusbatrtedbone Christian Church known a the Catholic (universal) Church. All other Christian denominations are founded by the ego of a human man or woman. If a person decides to start a new church it is inane of you to blame the Catholic Church for it.
It is possible at the beginning of the human race that their may have been incidents of inbreeding. But neither the Church or the Bible caused it. They didn't even exist yet.
Your questions are quite irrational.

All religions are contradictory.
1. Obviously the messiah is not doing what the story tellers said he would do.
2. People create their own religions. People are separated by geography and cutures, etc. So each group comes up with his own thing. But there are many similarities. Snakes ususally represent regeneration or reincarnation through shedding of skin. Eggs are new birth. There is normally a good place - heaven and a bad place - hell. Man put the bible together and I think the Jews only believe the Old Testament was inspired by god.
3. I've been told by some very good Christians that there was a lot of incest. So I asked why everyone wasn't retarded since there was so much intermarriage. They said in the old days god let brothers and sisters do it and didn't punish because they had to get the world's population growing.
4. christianity is built upon the old persian religions. There is a Persian tale where an angel goes to a virgin and tells her she is going to give birth to a god. The Christians made it a Messiah or Jesus. People just make things up as they go along.

1. No it doesn't say that--and it is called the New Testament. However, some Christians within the first and second centuries CE did think that they were living at the end of time. In every era--even nowadays, there are people who think they are living at the time the world will end, etc.
2. People have developed a myriad different ways of dealing with an innate human need to have spiritual experiences and believe in a "higher reality." That is why there are so many belief systems in the world and why they evolve over time and are conditioned by environment and culture. If you studied comparative religions, you would be shocked and amazed by how many similarities exist in mythology and religion in comparison to the differences. They are different ways of explaining the same thing.
3. The story of Adam and Eve is a creation MYTH. It is metaphorical and it not an actual historical event. Catholics (unlike some Protestants) know this.
4. Catholocism and Judaism have elements within them that can be traced to earlier religions because these religions did not develop in a vacuum. Belief systems and philosophies develop out of preceding systems or as trends (this is also true of Asian religions).

1.I Think You mean the old Testament So He came for His people when he was Born. If You mean the New Testament That would mean the Apocalypses, Are You ready for that?
2. There is only One Heaven and every person from every Religion Can Enter.
3. Yes, It was that or extinction until there where enough people for there to be No inbreeding. We Came From the Same Mitochondrial Mother if you need proof.
4. Judaism and Zoroastrianism have many things in Common. Even the Messianic Prophecies. Since Christianity Spawn from Judaism and Judaism Is Similar to Zoroastrianism is Logic that there will be Similarities Between Zoroastrianism and Christianity.
Hope that clears all your Doubts.

1. I'm confused. Are you talking about the lifetime of the people during the time when Jesus was on earth, or our present time? Jesus will return, we just don't know when.
2. We have different religions because people want to follow their own way instead of Jesus' way, which He set down in His Holy Catholic Church. The same applies to the bible.
3. I have no clue about Adam and Eve, so I won't answer.
4. Same answer as #3 about the Persians.

I'm not a catholic but I'll try my hardest to answer your questions.
Peter 3:3-7 (New International Version)
3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."
5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.
7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
meaning: God is not on our time. we are on His.
religion is man made...therefore that is why there are so many religions in the world. God did not create religion.
for the sake of population; yes, incest was involved. after the flood Noah's sons had wives (different bloodlines) therefore incest became a sin.

Nice try.
It's funny to me that you people selectively chose bits and pieces of the bible in order to justify their position. When they get it all wrong it is hilarious.
1... First let me explain how the Testaments work... The OLD testament is before Jesus. The NEW testament is since Jesus. That simple.
2. Religions are all different because people are all different. They are all different paths to the same place.
As for your testament question on this question... I explained the old/new testament already. So let me elaborate here. Jewish use the Old testament. Christians use the New.
3. The bible said that God created Adam and Eve 1st. It does not say that they were the only people God created. He had other civilizations throughout the world. When Cain killed Able he was banished and went to another village. Where he took a wife and had his own kids.
4.Catholicism is a rather new religion. only 2000 yrs old. It is rather similar to several religions if you want to make links. Even Zen Buddhist if you want to go far enough.
Nice try though.

We have so many religions because of man's interpretation and opinions about which way is the right way to God, or some just haven't never been taught what the bible teaches (for example: those who were raised in a specific cultures, or traditions of men). Jesus said that, He's The Way, The Truth, and The Life...nobody comes to Father God but except through Him. All religion teaches self righteousness, but nobody can get to God by self righeousness or good deeds/works, b/c our righteousness and good deeds are as filthy rags when offered up to God, because He is Holy, and their is nothing that man can ever do to make himself right with God b/c of sin.....However God made a way so that we can have a relationship with Him and be justified in His prescence by sending His only Son to be sacrificed on our behalf...We can only be in right standing with God by placing our Faith in Jesus Christ (in everything He did for us)... Jesus also said there is a broad way that many go in by eat, but at the end of it is destruction, and then there's a narrow way to eternal life and that's "only" through Him and not many find it.

-during the lifetime of mankind
-people are the ones who choose to split off into different religions, it is their choice what they accept
-yes, pretty much any origin of species would involve some incest at first, until populations grow to allow more options
-actually the only good point of your questions, I don't know the answer because I know nothing about zoroastrianism
