Teaching her to "find" is fairly easy. Use motivation (like a meat chuck). Show it to her and let he smell it and then let her watch you hide it. She will go get it. Each time hide it better and harder. Eventually she will learn what "find" means and hunt. You can even do this with her favorite toys, so she can learn to find things besides the meat chunks.
I am assuming you have done the sit, down, stay stuff. Those are important. She should also be able to walk on a leash properly.....not dragging you.
I'm teach my to read. I show him a sign I made on the computer, SIT, DOWN, etc. So when I give the verbal command, I do a hand signal and show the sign. He is learning the SIT (sign) means to sit. He's so smart. He understands English and ....as yet I do not do dog.

hide a smelly treat like cheese or sausage and she will soon sniff it out!
if she knows the Come command you can play hide and seek!
then there are fetch games, logic games such as you can cut a slit in a loo roll and put a bit of plastic/card in. Put a treat above the plastic.Your dog has to pull out the plastic to get the treat!
There are loads of exercises like this about. You could also try clicker training and similar. Hope this helps!

Practice obedience work and make it fun. Do "puppy pushups" where the dog has to sit, lie down, then sit again. All without standing up in between.
Play hide & seek. When your dog isn't looking, hid somewhere in the house. Then call her and see how long it takes her to find you. Make all sorts of happy noises when she does find you. Who knows, she may be an ideal search and rescue candidate.
Play a version of Simon Says. When she yawns, you yawn. When she blinks, you blink. When she licks her lips, you lick your lips. It's funny to watch them slowly figure out that you're copying them. Then see what she comes up with next and try to mimic that. It's a fun and silly game.
Work on learning new tricks - sit, shake, wave bye-bye, give me 5, give me 10, sit pretty, say prayers, sit up, lie down, roll over, catch a treat placed on her nose, "leave it", weave through your legs, get the paper, get the TV remote, sneeze on command, etc. There are plenty of books and websites out there that will show you step by step how to teach your dog these things.
Most importantly, HAVE FUN!

My dog loves frisbee! I know it sounds a lot like fetch but with frisbee my dog is tired out in an hour whereas with fetch, I am sooo ready to be done with it before he is! lol
My dog learned it really quickly just because it is basically fetch except they have to jump for it and it hangs in the air which might throw him/her off for a little bit but they will get it in no time!
