Yes, because Catholicism is a lifestyle based on worshiping Christ. Catholic = Christian.

Monica and Keely above are misrepresenting Catholicism, probably because they are very ignorant about Catholic teaching. It is NOT true that Catholics can commit any sin they want with great relish and then just confess it away. It is NOT true that we make dead people into saints -- all the Saints we have are LIVING members of the body of Christ who have received the gift of eternal life promised to us by Christ in the Bible, where there is evidence that this has occurred.

It is also not true that Catholics don't read the Bible -- we have daily readings and read a lot of Scripture at Mass (usually more than any Protestant preacher does during a Sunday service).

People should get the FACTS. Don't worry, Keely and Monica -- the truth WILL set you free. That's in the Bible.

Yes you can. Often times(though of course not always). Catholics have a harder time believing the free gift of salvation. Catholocism is more based on work to get to heaven. This is false, for if our works got us to heaven there would be no point in Jesus dying making His sacrifice obsolite. But catholocism is a denomonation, based on Christianity. It has several questionable doctrines, but if you believe the basis of Christianity, God's love, our need for a saviour, and Jesus' sacrifice to grant us new life with Him, then yes, you're a Christian.

Roman catholics (Catholic means "universal") believe in Jesus but they give a lot more credit to Maria, to saints and to images (which is abomination to God)! The Bible is clear about accepting Jesus and living our lives based On The Sacred Words of God and On His Commandments. Jesus Bride has The Legal right to use Jesus Name which Has ALL Power in this world! Jesus Is The Savior and not Maria or anyone else!
Also, they "create" saints of dead people! The Bible clearly shows that the dead are sleeping! How can they become saints? The Bible says that The Church of Jesus Is Saint! We Are Saints! Those who live in and with God are saints!
Roman catholics don't make use of The Name of Jesus just because they don't practice The Bible. Most of the times they don't read The Bible and they keep repeating the same prayings to God - which is also appointed by Jesus as useless! Repeating doesn't make God listen to us! Obeyence, faith, love to God more than anything or to anyone else, and love to people are the keys to call God's attention! His eyes are searching for those whose hearts are totally His and to those ones He will show He is STRONG!
Thanks Jesus!

Catholics are Christian. They follow Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. That's all that Christian means.

Yes
as long as you believe the following:

Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this.
Will you believe this?
Would you like to go with Jesus when He returns?

Of course. Your denomination has nothing to do with your heart. And God knows your heart. God Bless

BTW, I don't claim to be an expert on anything. Only God can be that.

To be a Christian is to act Christ-like and be a good example to others. "Catholics" believe that they can absolutely ANYTHING,(rape, kill, get drunk, cuss up a blue streak, abuse) go into confession the next day, and be forever forgiven of all the sins that they committed. THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT PHILOSOPHY.
