You obviously love this cat, keep her. Just get her treated for fleas and worm her, dont buy any thing from pet shops they dont work. You can buy flea and worm treatment on the internet now much cheaper than vet charges. Just love her seems like she has chosen you. Thats so sweet have fun with her.

Well if she's really thin and weak I seriously doubt she has an owner honey. It's more like she is a stray cat that someone let loose or abandoned like so many others on the streets. I hate people that do that to kitties!

So you are aware, they sell flea shampoo's at the pet stores and even at most grocery stores in the pet food aisles! There are also vet clinics that you could take the kitty to for really affordable, cheap cost to have them check her out and for help with the flea and tick problems! (And to get her checked out for ear mites and worms....)

Go and get some Frontline from a vet. It treats fleas and ticks, and you do not need to take the cat in to get some - although it would be a good idea, sounds like the cat needs a check up. If you're planning to keep the cat i.e you can afford it, take it to a vets.

Do not use any over the counter pet stuff. Take the cat to the vet. I am sure the cat needs shots and they have a pill they can give the cat that will kill the flea right a way and they will give you the proper flea killer for the futher fleas that hatch out.
Over the counter flea and tick killers can harm cats. Even the flea collars say on the back of them now to talk to your vet before using them.
You better take care of this quickly or you will have a house full of fleas yourself and believe me once you get them they are hell to get rid of.

If she's in that bad of shape she almost certainly does not have an owner. You put up posters which is good. You could also try putting a "found" ad in the paper (some will do for free) and/or calling your local shelter to see if anyone has reported her missing. My guess is that she was a stray who picked you to give her a home. Get her to the vet for shots and spaying (if needed) If money is an issue talk to local shelter about low cost vet services. Get her cleaned up, give her food and love and she will return your investment with interest! Good luck with your new friend.

Check with local animal shelters but most likely she's an abandoned cat which is why she is not afraid of humans. When you take her into the vet, ask the vet if there's any way to find out. It's important to remember that often, cats choose you.

If you love that cat, you will keep her. If she was that covered and she has made you her family, then you must be pretty neat in her eyes. One of my cats was a stray that I thought belonged to someone because he was declawed. I was wrong, no one wanted him and I knew he would die without my help. I have had him now for 7 years and love him to death. Cats have a funny way of choosing their families and apparently you are now hers. Have fun and hopefully she is with you as long as I have had mine. Strays are often the best couch friends, they have known the hard life and appreciate the good life.

well you say she was flea covered and thin and weak clearly she was a stray and if she had an owner she was naglected so if the owner comes looking they will have to (you should make them anyway) prove that they can take good care of the poor darling
