To give you the Nurse's point of view, I can tell you this:

When the doc is not around, the Nurse is his eyes, ears, nose, and hands.

Every member of the healthcare team plays an important role in the holistic care of a patient. Respecting one more than another is as silly as saying the liver is more important than the kidneys. We need both our liver and our kidneys to function properly. Without one or the other, the end result is negative.

hey there, interesting question you have bought up here, well this is my professional view on it.
i work in a pharmacy and to be honest i would say they respect nurses more, however pharmacists to so much for doctors i mean dint get me wrong doctors know what they are doing and are extremely good at what they do however as the saying goes 'behind every great doctor there is a great pharmacist there to save his or her but' Lol no in all seriousness though pharmacists do a hell of alot for their patients and doctors.

Are you referring to respecting them as professionals or as equals?

If professional I would say nurses because they deal with them more often on a personal level.

If equals is what you mean it would be pharmacists because they have gone through the same amount of schooling.

Any doctor with half a brain (unfortunately that excludes a percentage of us) respects intelligent and sincere colleagues in the various health fields. In any of the professions you mention there are people who have ego problems or are just plain rude.

No. The reason a doctor's salary is so high is because they are very likely to get sued.
