I realized that he doesn't like to get his feet wet in the morning (dew), so he poops inside. She is brilliant. She lets me know when she has to "go," but he is hardheaded and won't "go" outside. What can I do?

I have two chis as well and have never had housebreaking problems with them . they just took right to the potty pads and they hate going outside . i think it has to do with the wet feet thing as well . Just use potty pads I think it will be easier for now and maybe when he gets older he might understand better . good luck and god bless.

I have to chihuahua puppies. I think they learn from each other , because i catch the little one doing the same things the older one did. So, housebreaking could be one of those that they learn from the other. I know mine did, and now they both go outside and go bathroom. Sometimes they do it inside , and i think is just to get attention.

I have a male chihuahua. You could try crate training or using puppy pads. Sometimes my dogs just go on the patio, lol.
Any of those would work.
