The Draft to War
What positions are there in the military if you get drafted?
How does it work?
Do you think it might be put into affect soon?
(If it ever comes into affect, I am going to Canada :D
Not because I am a coward but I don't like to kill and don't want to kill)
What are your ideas on a military draft?
Do we need it?
I am just a curious person about other peoples thoughts and ideas :)
Oh ummmm
Do you have to sign something for a draft and you get a draft card and when your number is pulled then you go to war?
Not sure how this works please clear this up for me :)

a draft won't ever be instated unless america or it's allies are directly attacked.

i really believe that if bush attacks iran, articles of impeachment will follow within a week.

Males, 18-25 are required to sign up for the Selective Service System.

Also, since the "No Child Left Behind Act" came out. High schools cannot deny information ( Address, phone numbers, etc) to military recruiters. Parents can sign a waiver though denying it.

As for the actual draft itself, someone from the Vietnam Era, would probably know best what it's like to be drafted.

In your case I don't consider you a coward, I joined the military after 9-11. Got a general discharge for some trouble I got into in the Service. I just don't like when people who weren't in the military question my service or judge me. That ticks me off.

to no longer placed too positive a factor on the subject count however the only Member of Congress who needs a draft is Congressman Charles Rangle of manhattan. And he's a Democrat. All branches of the militia have consistently met or surpassed their quotas for recruiting and retention each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in view that Sep 11, 2001. So, there is not any desire for the draft. the only component i'm sorry approximately is honestly the shortcoming of undertaking expressed with the aid of any of the anti-conflict crowd related to the shortcoming of lives interior the militia in the previous September 10, 2001.

Nost, you do not have any idea what you are talking about. It is not an attack on Iran, it is simply an invasion. We take out those who need to be taken out, and leave. You people who hate Bush do not really know what is going on in Iraq and stuff.

You retards are calling a York graduate an idiot. Why is that? To go to war, you need other people's support. Not just a bunch of hillbillies are consulting and saying, "Hey, let's go to war!" It's not like that.

Did you notice how there hasn't been a major attack on the U.S. since the 11th? We have foiled plans for attacks on New York, The Sears Tower, The Pentagon, etc. A Sunni military leader was caught and interrogated. They found that he had plans for Chicago, and other major cities. THINK PEOPLE!

Bush doesn't give a living bull what you think. Go to Iraq and ask the soldiers there if they think being in Iraq is the right thing. They will say, "Yes."

There was this man that said we were torturing civilians. Turns out, he escaped a mental hospital and never even went to the war. How Naive are you people these days?

The draft isn't going to happen barring a major world war. Do your country a favor and move to Canada now pacifist.

A draft will happen if we invade Iran. You can no longer find help from the Canadian government. I will not be drafted because of my criminal record. I will stay at home and route for you all from a far.

If you are really worried about it, I would go in your place if they would draft a felon. I doubt that will happen though. And I dunno how great a soldier I would make.

The draft is evil. No-one should ever be forced into the army. It is plain evil.

a vast majority of people in this country think the war is a failure and think we should get out...

but there are some who think we need to stay, and that we need to "support our troops" ( a meaningless mantra, these days..people say it so much it's lost it's meaning... exactly how are you supporting our troops?)

anyway...the poeple who support the war find it VERY easy to do so... the reason it is EASY to support a war that makes no sense, is because they don't have to sacrifice anything... they are not asked to give up anything for this war... so of COURSE it's easy for them to blindly follow the lead of the president..

if we enacted a draft...and everyone's sons had to be held accountable for the president's war... i'm sure most of the remaining supporters would find SOMETHING they all of a sudden disagreed with in this war.

so i think the draft would do WONDERS to end this thing.

Why wait?? Move now and you solve it all. You don't even have to denounce your US citizenship and you won't have to worry about anything!! Bill Clinton did that!

Hope this is clear enough for you.
