I'm comfortable using them, for most items of food, and Asian friends have made favourable comments about my using them. Once a person hangs the knack, it is as easy as using a pencil, or a brush. It just takes a bit of practice.

Pretty fair. If the rice is not sticky, I have to resort to a fork! But I'm fine w/ sushi.
Plus, if you notice, cultures that routinely eat w/ chopsticks bring the bowls of food just under their bottom lip and sort of "shovel" the food in w/ a chopstick. It is we Americans who act like we have to keep a bite of food on chopsticks from dinner plate to mouth in one fell swoop!

I'm pretty good. I never eat with a fork in an asian restaurant. I had a room mate once who ate everything, including Cheerios, with chopsticks.

There's nothing better than chopsticks for sushi. For almost anything else, I'm more comfortable with a fork.

Haha. I went to China recently, and I have found I can actually pick up things with metal chopsticks.
I'm not TOO bad.

well yes I must admit I am pretty good with the chopsticks that are shaped like a spoon or fork, otherwise, I would starve.

I'm horrible with chopsticks. I'm convinced that it's because I'm left-handed and a little bit dyslexic. But I keep trying :-)
