i usually do at least acouple times a night, but if it weren't for the fact that he took all the paper towels away so that i have to use his towels, i would prefer to do it myself. and some of these clubs are grimy and really shouldn't have bathroom attendants anyway. as if i'm gonna suddenly going to think i'm at the ritz, and forget about the one-toothed stripper that was hitting on me three minutes ago.

it's not a money issue to me. it's an issue about principals. and like i said, i usually do tip out of guilt anyway. but just wondering what other people felt.

just wanted to add...it's gotten to the point that i will wait at the urinal until the guy next to me finishes and goes to the mirror. let him deal with the attendant, as i slip right behind them.

You shouldn't have to feel guilty but they make you feel guilty...so you end up putting something in their dish....my rule of thumb is this, If they do one tiny thing special, like just handing me the towel, or brushing a piece of lint off the back of my outfit, I will tip, but if they are sitting on a chair half asleep, why are they even there? If they are there to protect the premises, then the business should be paying them......

From what you describe, you should not feel guilty. If you use the little incidentals (comb, pins, etc) then you should tip. If the club wants to pay someone to ration their paper towels, let them. But that's not your responsibility..

I totally hate bathroom attendants. If I use their combs, or cologne or whatnot, then a tip is in order. Handing me a towel that I should be able to get for myself in the firstplace....not tipworthy.

i dont think you have to tip. They do take away your ability to dry your own hands. Since they take this ability away they are trying to force you into tipping, thats just rude. that would be like a homeless guy who makes your window dirty so you cant see through it and offers to clean it for a tip so you can drive
