It is a new stereo, when I turn the ignition it turns on, after a few seconds it turns off. It will take anf eject CDs but does nothing else. I think its the wiring but am not sure.

What is a powr capacitor? Where can I get it, I have never needed one before.

its either the unit its self, or you have a short in the wiring, have a professional recheck the wiring of it, im sure they can find the problem and fix it for you

You don't need a capacitor, he's an idiot.

Sounds like an issue with the deck. Is it under warranty?

the wire connection is not fully connected or bad wiring system.
