I live in Florida, and i found a car that i want. My Dad, lives in Pennsylvania and wants to buy the car for me, but he has to take out a loan for the car, and he can't because the car won't have Pennsylvania tags. The only thing i can think of is driving the car the whole way up there to get the tags and then drive it back, but i dont want to be driving around with PA tags. Anyone know anything else we could do?!

The loan shouldn't have anything to do with the tabs/tags. If the car is not currently licensed, or you don't want to register it in the other state, you could purchase trip permits in each state, to get the car from Pa to Fl. Most trip permits cost around 10-20each, you would have to contact each state you pass through to get their state trip permit. The car could also be put on a trailer and towed to Fl, allowing you to get the car inspected and tab/tagged in Fl.

I don't think he has to have PA tags on the car to get a loan. Usually you can just show the bank pictures and info to get the loan approved and then they get the title (lienholder).

Here in Kansas the only thing required to get tags for a car is proof of insurance. I've called my insurance company and given them the info for a car I was going to buy, picked up tags at the courthouse, and the car was tagged and insured before I ever picked it up. Also done that when I had the car but we were waiting on a duplicate title to come back.

The taxes for that state are related to the fee of the motor vehicle. You pay that have been you purchase the motor vehicle. on your state you reside in you in basic terms pay taxes related to the registering, license plates, and so on. as you're actually not paying for it so there is not any sales tax.
