Depending on colors you choice and size of the tattoo wrist tattoos are not all that visable. A small tattoo wouldn't be very noticeable, a small heart on your inner wrist or maybe some written script. A watch, bracelet or even a cuff band will cover the tattoo very easily. Much better to get the tattoo on the inner wrist than the outer wrist. Good luck.

I have three tats, one on each wrist and one on my foot. One of my wrist ones is Sanskrit writing, which is quite un-noticeable and people rarely see it, my other one starts below my watch and is about 4 inches long by about 2 inches wide (so definitely not hidden) and is 4 shooting stars. I work as an accountant and it wasn't a problem me getting a job and no-one has said anything negative to me since I started working here. I think that in this day and age people have become more accepting of tattoos in the workplace as long as they are "pretty" and quite discreet. Go for it if you want, you may get turned down for one or two jobs, but it shouldn't stop you getting one altogether.

You can, but the size, shape, and specific area on your wrist will affect your wardrobe.
If you get something small, you'll probably be able to cover it up at work with a watch or bracelets. If it's on the inside of your wrist, you might not even need to do that.
You can get a larger one, too, but then you'll probably have to wear long-sleeved shirts year round, depending on the liberality of your company.
Either way, you should be able to work it out later on.

I got a tattoo on my wrist 6 months ago. I work in a law office, and to tell you the truth, not many people notice it. You would think that given the location that it would be really visible, but actually (unless people just aren't commenting on it) it isn't. And you can always wear a watch or a chunky bracelet to cover it up if you work in a really conservative office. No one at my office cares though.

I AM in the business world, and I am getting a bracelet on my left wrist Saturday. I plan to wear long sleeves until it heals and then buy a men's watch to cover it while I am working.

It might affect your future goals. Tattoos are forever. If you decide to get one. Get it on the bottom of your left wrist (if you are right handed, if not visa-versa). That way when you're older, you can cover it up easier, not draw too much attention to it, or wear a watch over it.

I have a small one on the inside of my wrist, in the crease where my hand meets my arm.
I work in a professional setting and can easily cover it by wearing a watch or a bracelet =)

Unfortunately, there is an assumption, generally one negative in nature, that comes with tattoos. I have one, and am working on two more. I make sure that I have to be sleeveless or shirtless to see mine. I figure there's no real classy way to do sleeveless as a guy, and I won't ever be shirtless or sleeveless in my office.

unfortuanetly it probably will. its so sotupid that if you like body art and you have it that you ahve to keep it hidden from the world you want to work in. I know i have mine done for a reason. I love mine and some of then are in "public" veiw so its gona be difficult for me to get a job.
but if you are like me, you wont care and you'll do it anyhow. i look at it this way "If they want somebody qualified for the job and I qualified, then it woun't matter. if they are atupid enough to not hire me simply because i like body art, well tehn forget them. I can find some other place thats better then them." Right??
I think yes.
But just do what you feel is best.

Well, you could always find some type of wrist cuff or bracelet that will cover it up when you go to work.
