It means you need to drink more water.
Bacteria builds up in your bladder and kidneys if you aren't flushing the toxins out properly. This build up of bacteria in itself wont do you any harm, but it does mean you are more likely to develop urinary tract (UTI) and kidney infections if you dont drink plenty of fluids.
As someone suggested earlier, cranberry juice or cranberry extract in tablet form can help to flush out these toxins.

I would have to see the all of the results of your urinalysis to give you definitive answer, but I have to assume the doctor is correct in saying you do not have a bacterial urine infection. When a female is asked to collect a urine specimen, she often contaminates the specimen with vaginal and skin flora (bacteria). These bacteria don't actually come from the bladder, so they're not causing a bladder/urine infection, but they are seen in the urine when viewed under a microscope. If your urinalysis showed a positive leukocyte esterase and/or you had an increased number of white blood cells, then that would be a good indicator of an infection.

Depends what type of bacteria is present. You don't mention any symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection, so most likely is OK. You know that our bodies have BILLIONS of bacteria and that's actually a good thing, because these are friendly bacterias that "eat the bad ones". If you are concerned about it though, go to a health store or a Whole Foods Market and buy "Probiotics", talk to somebody at the store who can explain to you all the different products they have. Or the least you could do is eat lots of yogurt. You might want to do this to keep a good amount of friendly bacterias in your system, they will prevent infections.

The best thing to do is drink lots of water to clean out your system. I have also taken cranberry tablets. Available over the counter.
Have another urine test in a week. If you still have a high bacteria count, you probably need antibiotics.

How many times a day are you peeing? Drink a lot of water, and flush out your sistem. If you hold it a lot, instead of just peeing, than you're hurting your bladder. It holds up all of that urine, and of course, where liquid is held up, with oxydation, it will go bad. Like milk, or stagnant water. Its first grade. Just pee, and drink a lot of water.

If doctor says it's ok then don't doubt. There are many bacteria in our bodies and we can't live without them. Don't do anything stupid. It's better for you to ask your doctor every time you decide something.
