Also
JESUS DENIED DIVINITY
Mark 10:17-18 and Luke 18:18-19
These verses are most indicative of Jesus' position and real nature. The verse in Mark reads:
"As he [Jesus] was setting out on a journey, a man ran up and knelt before him, and asked him, 'Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?' Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone."
If you analyze this verse in truth you will see that Jesus, quite simply, is not God. If he was, why then would he say "No one is good but God alone"? Jesus did not want to be called "good" because he was not God. That title, as Jesus admits, belongs to none but God.

First, we have to be careful about projecting our cultural practices and habits of today upon other people. The idea of naming a text as central and important as the Bible would be following MODERN practices and habits. We cannot expect other people to follow our approaches today.
For example, the Bible tells us that God wrote the 10 Commandments by His own "finger" (although God is a Spirit). But even where the Bible tells us that God is the author by His own hand of the tablet of the 10 commandments, God did not give it a name or sign it. He expected it to be so important that it was obvious.
Second, though, God did not "author" the Bible in the same way that a person sits down and writes a book today (except for the tablet of the 10 commandments as noted above).
Although I personally think it is a bad idea (people make too many mistakes), God has chosen to speak and work through people and in partnership with people.
So, God inspired people and prophets with the ideas that they wrote down on paper.
So, the people who wrote the various "books" (scrolls) and sections of the Bible wrote it themselves -- but under the inspiration of God.
Many of the passages of the Bible are simply history. These are just a question of accurately recording what happened.
So, the Bible was not written as a single book, with a single name. It was written as separate books over a long period of time.
Of course, this raises the question of how do we know it is true? This is a very large discussion, but I recommend any or all of the books by Josh McDowell such as "Evidence that Demands a Verdict."
Archaelogy has repeatedly confirmed the Bible to be accurate in its historical reports. And the spiritual propheses included many predictions of things that will take place in the future (the future from when they were written) which have in fact taken place exactly as predicted.

The books of the Bible were written by multiple people. God spoke the words. Some of the books were letters. (i.e. Corinthians was written to the Corinthians) Also, the second half of the question makes no sense.

Bible means a collection of books, as in library, (biblioteque).
The collected scriptures were written over 3000 years.
They were inspired by G*D, which means 'breathed' into.
The first part is the Hebrew scriptures, the second Christian.
The Church finally decided which books were inspired.
That was around the time of the protestant reformation.

God is not the author of the Bible.
The Bible is a Human Book with Divine Inspiration.
It is a Canonical book.

There are multiple authors of the bible, (The book of Matthew, the book of Luke). The writers were (supposedly) guided by God in their writings. It really is a great storybook, and a good guide to live your life by, if you don't go crazy and overly religious about it.

It is called Scripture.
Matthew 22:29
"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God."
John 10:35 Jesus said
"If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemes because I said, I am the Son of God?"

it was written by man, then changed by man to fit the people in power's needs. european rulers who believed they have divinity wrote there own bibles. I'm not saying the Bible is bad, it's a book of stories to live by, to give people morality.
