No, I've had three teeth out and it doesn't hurt at all. First of all, they put a numbing gel on the area that the needles going to go in. Then they give you some injections, and luckily you can't feel them.

It does feel a bit weird though, and you can sort of hear it, but it doesn't even hurt after the anesthetic has worn off!

I am 31 and had my first tooth pulled out the other day, I was expecting it to be really painful as I had never had an injjection either and had only heard horror stories about the pain so I went to my appointment feeling really nervous and scared. The dentist said she would inject my mouth 5 times and them remove the tooth but first she would put some numbing cream on my gums.... so I braced myself for a painful injection or 5 and I didnt even feel them (so ask for the cream if they dont offer it as it really helped) then the removal of the tooth was quick and painless and I just felt some pulling and that was about it.

The most painful bit is the healing and thats ok if you keep a supply of painkillers with you.

Be brave and you will be just fine.

nope, not at all. I had 2 teeth surgically removed with just local anesthetic. I didnt have topical ansesthetic first and I was fine. You hardly feel the needle, it's just a little pinch and once you're numb it's all good. The anesthetic is gross if it gets on your tongue, but that was the worst part. *smiles* I had a little discomfort after it wore off but no pain. You'll be fine!

I've had two teeth pulled before, and no, it doesn't hurt.
They numb your mouth with a shot that you can't even feel.
You'll feel pressure, but NO pain.
it is kind of aggravating, because afterward, you'll bleed.
I bleed for like an hour.
