I was helping my mother move and there were some glass listerine bottles sitting unopened in a box in the garage the exp date says nov/95 and since it is just antiseptic and it has alocohol in it I was wondering even with the exp date on the bottle if it would expire.

THIS DEPENDS ON HOW LONG YOU'VE HAD IT AROUND. IF IT'S BEEN THERE FOR A YEAR OVER THE EXPIRATION, TIME FOR A NEW ONE. WHY HAVE YOU LET IT GET EXPIRED W/O USING IT?

It can expire, more than likely it has a date on it. But all that means is, up to that date it will 90% or MORE effective...
After the expiration date it means that it will be 90% effective...

yes. i think so.

there must be a reason for the expiratory date.

the taste and probably the color may alter

however the labels on my mouthwash claims that the antiseptic effect is still effective when when it had expired.

anyways, I'm not going to use anything that wa expired
:)

Of course, that's why they have an expiration date on the bottle...
