Hello,

This is not the covenant of the old testament where God smacks down a country like Israel, delivering her to her enemies whenever they sin against his teachings, sleep and marry withe pagans and pagan queens etc. Speaking for Canada I can say that the economy has greatly improved here since the courts ruled in favor of these partnerships. The US is running a trillion dollar deficit, having a falling dollar and is stuck in a real quagmire in that Mesopotamian war with no light at the end of the tunnel there, even though such legislation has not been ratified and the religious right is as active as ever. Last I saw the Euro and economies in those countries above are doing OK and nothing has happened.

That said, while I do not condone a religious union at all and would not attend a gay wedding I have no objection to a same sex couple having equality under the law when it comes to pension, health, estate rights after death of one etc.
I would think God has no problem about treating these people with social dignity.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

Perhaps Pat "It's time to assassinate Chavez of South America" Robertson would know the answer to that question?

Pat Robertson (one time Republican presidential contender for the White House in Washington, D.C.) blamed 09-11-2001 (terrorist attack on NYC) and Hurricane Katrina on USA evildoers residing in both of those American cities.

so many generations have lived, they commited similar sins but God did not destroy them immediately. A typical example is the story of the Egyptian Pherous. they lived and sined for cetuaries but when the time comes,......, you better go to some egyptian mesiums to see the rest of the story. Where are the people of Sadom, Samood and Aad? Where is the roman empare, gkingiskan and adolf Hitla? they where all dissolved into the solution mixed by time. time! time!! time!!!

I believe that he will treat these countries the same as he did Sodom and Gomorrah. I think he will look for the people in these countries who are pure of heart and he will spare them his wrath. Those who participate in such damnation will be expelled through destruction. I really don't see him ruining the whole country, because some fail to obey him.

I lived in Belgium for two years, and I currently live in Massachusetts.

Oddly enough, I've never heard the news reporter predict "Cloudy, with a chance of fire and brimstone."

God punishes sinners in various ways in this life like

Loss of peace of mind, splitting family members, miserable life in lonliness, deaths in family and inability to have patience, inability to accept reality of life and death, wars between countries, hatred between people, other nations committing atrocities to them, natural disasters, severe weathers, sicknesses from the illicit sex etc. etc.

no one escapes at the END of time...God is not mocked...

I doubt God has a good opinion about any country right now
since we are close to the end.

everyone reaps what they sow..either now or later...
