my friends and i were hanging out and there were like you know i think you'll look really cute with mark. and then i just kinda like oh ok (cause i didnt know who he was) and then these girls go to Mark and they say, you know i think youll look really cute with our friend (me) he was just like oh ok (because he didnt know who i was either. BUT to make a looong story short he eventually saw who i was, and i saw who he was. and my friend was talking to him and was like why arent u talking to her yet, and he says because im scared, because she has a whole bunch of friends and i dont want them taking over (i thought that was a whole bunch of bs) and then the next day he tells her that he doesnt want to pull me away from my school work.
do you think that hes really "scared" or are those excuses a way of saying "im not interested"

Have you ever talked to him?

Are you instrested in him?

You have left out a third resaon. He may be afraid that this is a setup for a prank on him and dosn't want to look like the fool.

Because, from what you said, he is only hearing about you from some other girl and not from you. You also did not say whether you are interested in him.

If you are intrested then just go say hi and see how he reacts. Then you can decide if he is just shy or not intrested.

Not interested. Sounds like a sweet but very young guy who is trying to be polite. If he was a jerk or more confident, he'd just say not interested and wouldn't bother giving any excuses about school work or friends.

Im Not sure, to be honest the best advice i can give is maybe you should talk to him directly.
With all the he said..she said... everything gets confusing and wrong when they get back to you.
Try off suttle...e.g. Hi how are you?
then after you are actually on speaking terms yourself you can progress to something else more inline with the answers you want!
My saying is "whats the worst that can happen"
and its true. He gives you another excuse you move on........................ Men love confidence, so be confident ask him out so you can spend time together!!
thats the only way.

I think he's just shy, the whole bunch of friends around thing was probably the truth, it's easier to talk to a girl just by herself and not with her friends around. In the beginning anyway.

only shop doing what your doing, sometimes say whats up or how are you or some thing, i wouldnt be too foward( and that i dont think of you're). he might like the heather woman...yet he might such as you too, adult men are extra shy than women each and every now and then and according to threat he doesnt understand what to place once you remark his photos.

OMG

He's nervous as all hell, girl!

A bunch of your friends go and grab this random guy and say - there you go - you two hook up!

He's stuffed!

If you like him - his life is school gossip!

If you hate him - his life is misery - and it's school gossip!

Get your friends to lay off him and give him some way to contact you privately ... email, MySpace, SMS or phone ... some way that your friends don't have to hang around.

Please don't do that to guys. Girls that hunt in packs are scary!

This guy is shy. Your friend is being very pushy and he is not comfortable. I would suggest that you tell your friend to let it alone. If Mark is interested he will show you.

Excuses. People shouldn't have conversations through their friends. They only makethe situation worse.

One of those excuses would be okay, but both of them makes him seem less interested. It is hard to tell.

You're going to have to try and ask him, face to face if possible. If you're scared of rejection, try writing a letter or email.
