what is it with men posting their shirtless bodies on their profiles? do they really think thats how they are going to win women? can that be any more stupid? you are supposed to put a picture on your profile so people know who you are. you could be a familiar face. its like walking in a bar with no shirt on!
first of all, when you put your stupid shirtless bodies on your profile, its "EGOTISTICAL" written all over it. it shows that you are a PLAYER. sluts go for players. real, serious, good quality women DONT (like me). i mean, who do you think you are anyway? what responses do you expect from women by posting that picture? did you really think women would just gravel at your feet and be saying "oh my god u are so hot, lets go out tonight!"?! its so sad to see people who are just craving for attention,craving for compliments that they would go sooo low like posting their shirtless bodies on their profile. what p!sses me off more is some of these men would post their headless bodies!

i feel very strong about this because it is offensive to women. im not a feminist. but i think its offensive to me when men try to request for me to add them as a friend or send a message saying "hi sexy"....!!! its so degrading! little tip for the egotistic men out there: this is not how u are going to win women! this is how u are going to win STD's actually. women want men who respect them, like men of wits, men who present them self well and men who arent full of themselves! ugh!

now i want to know what you women out there think! id like to know what the women who actually like this think!

im actually wearing a bathing suit FYI. u need glasses. and if i was one of them, id have my whole body in a bikini showing here. but i dont. i have my face. which is what its supposed to be. i agree with the girl who said that if it was a girl who was topless on the profile, thats much better.

wait a minute, its okay for women to show more skin than men do. its a society thing. but men walking around showing more skin? when has thah happened? im not saying its wrong but its not what the society sees as normal. would u think that its okay for men to walk around town shirtless? women are women. we have halter tops, saghettis, tube tops... those all show skin! thats how women are! its called fashion. but if a man was doing it, its weird.

OK I'm a guy, and yeah I feel the same way you do! Why do guys gotta be like that? It don't make you more f a guy putting a picture of you w/o a shirt...I mean OK you may have a six pack of something, and big arms, but it's not like it's unique to that guy only!! Any guy can have a six pack! I do and I don't go posting it all over the internet for all the girls to see! IT shows a lack of humility, a lack of modesty, and an overall lack of genuine likeablity...And then it just is totally insane, when girls are commetning, like "OMG I want ur body!!!" It's stupid, and girls and for the most part teeny-boppers who fall for that are pretty stupid themselves....Guys don't know how to respect women anymore, and it is even crazier that most women actually LIKE guys who don't really care and who mistreat and degrade women...They think that they can just go and sweep any girl off her feet, and that the girl should just go along with it...It's disgusting! AND this is coming from a guy...Yes a guy that likes girls, but actually know how to treat them and no one seems to really like me as a boyfriend because of it!

Your display picture features a somewhat shirtless person. That may be why you are having problems with these shirtless men. Woman do it all the time except perhaps they are wearing a bikini or something revealing. Egotistical is one word to describe those people. I say put a shirt on.

Don't be so sensitive about this stuff. Even though you find it a turn-off, there are plenty of women out there who might be intrigued by the kind of strong-willed, extrovert character of a man who posts that kind of picture up for the world to see. I'm sure there might be some women who agree with your feelings on the subject as well, but everyone's different.

Besides, you're showing a little skin in your profile picture yourself. I'm not complaining myself - but might that not be a little hypocritical from one angle?

P.S. There is one thing you need to realize... not everyone (not even all women) think like you. If that is what you like then great! I have no problem with that! But the world is not your way or the wrong way.. there are plenty of right ways out there.

Here's the deal. Men are visual creatures. We like naked women. Because we like naked women, we automatically think women like naked men. While under certain circumstances, like between the sheets, that may be true, it is not what women are looking for. This is clear when you look at magazine racks in liquor stores when you see all the porn, it is directed at men, not women. From a man's point of view, I don't like seeing shirtless men if they are doing it to score chicks. Many times, these guys are covered with hair and gold chains, and they are clearly full of themselves. And the headless bodies thing? That is because it is not their picture. I did that once as a joke.

There is nothing wrong with masculine beauty. Women are not the only ones that deserve positive objectification. The adult male body is nothing to be ashamed of and it should be revered more than it is. "If you know that person in real life doesn't it make you loose some respect for him?" --No. It means he has self-confidence and it's something that I respect, not disrespect.

Maybe they are trying to impress girls on the internet. Most of the guys who post shirtless pictures, do it to show who they are. A guy who likes to go shirtless a lot, will post a shirtless picture of them.

AMEN SISTA! Preach it! I could not agree with you more. Every time I see a profile pic of a guy with no shirt on...I think...What a loser! No REAL woman would ever be interested in someone like that. They are attention getter's...only want girls that will worship them...well, any woman with any self respect would not even give them a second look. You are absolutely right , there are guys I know on dating sites that are players or think they are Gods gift to women and their photos are shirtless , dating one of these guys would be a nightmare for a woman because he would never get out of the mirror and let you put your makeup on....
