I see people believing in one God ( mono )
Polys .. believing in many Gods

Theists , Deists etc

ok I believe that the God I believe in is the same God in many/all religions
that we see God differently , percieve God differently , that there are many aspects of this God energy ( which may explain polys view of Gods ) ... i suppose similar to the way Hindu's believe

I sit here often and wonder where I really fit
I answer questions to Thesist but most times dont feel like Theist is what I am ... my God isnt a personal God
it is an energy , a distant source

hheeelpp ? lol

Pangel, you are wonderfully complex, a unique, beautiful individual. There's no need to apply labels, and I truly don't believe any exist that accurately describe you. Rejoice in simply being yourself.

Deist suits you perfectly, although I'm sure you don't agree with all of the views of the many religions throughout the world. I'm sure you have no problem saying that the energy or distant source that you believe in doesn't care whether or not you believe a certain person was the greatest prophet or savior and would torture you for eternity for not confessing so to the exclusion of all others.

I would suggest pantheist or panentheist.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panentheism

You might also like to look into henotheism and monolatry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henotheism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monolatry

Most (if not all) concepts in deism have already been contemplated and labeled. Many of the labels have both a general and specific meaning. More than one label and certain qualifiers can be applied to focus the terminology.
Plus, many of the terms have been adopted by specific religions, though they can retain their general meaning as well.

Coming up with terms that you do not mind self applying requires introspection into your beliefs, and investigation into the terms and their history (eg: Is the creator one with the universe or did it create a separate universe from itself; does it have a consciousness and form or not; do other deities exist; are they aspects of the creator or separate from it; etc.)

I am a hard agnostic theist; I do not believe it is possible to ever know for sure the nature of the creator. I am also a monolatrist; I have a personal relationship with a deity who is not the creator and I believe that there are others in existence.

I use the term non-Abrahamic Theist because it is INCLUSIVE for a larger group of people that have similar beliefs to me (pagans, wiccans, universalists, etc) without carrying the stigma of a specific belief system (Wiccan) or stereotype (Pagan).

I can't decide if God is an entity or an energy. Is there a Mother God? I think she exists.

I am more deist than atheist but I see theists as being part of a religion. I hate religion.

I see you as the only person who comes even close to my beliefs. In fact, when I first met you I considered you to be confirmation that I am on the right track.

Religion is a hard topic to answer, so I am going to answer on MY own beliefs and upbringing and a lot of soul searching I have done.

I believe that God is the son of Jesus Christ. I believe that God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are one.

I believe that anyone who believes in Christ is saved. I believe that anyone can have a relationship with God in their own way. Its if they practice what he teaches is another story. What I was raised with and what I BELIEVE is that anyone who accepts Christ is saved.

There are many different religions are, I can not say they are wrong because I believe differently. If I was raised in another culture I might believe something different.

For you I would research and find out what you are looking for in a religion and what your expectations are.

Did I help you at all?

I can get behind what you're saying, Pangel...

To a certain extent (and given I'm Christian), I think that we, as people are spokes, radiating from a central hub (the Hub is God). The spokes vibrate at different frequencies. But a fair amount of spokes vibrate in harmonic resonance. These are the people we feel drawn to.

Are you a "hubbist?" lol

Otherwise, I don't know what title could be bestowed on you :). And I wonder, does it matter, anyway?

peace respects regards

it sounds like u are very close to what i feel. You see i feel you should have a personal relationship with God. i'm a Christain, but I dont feel too comfrontable with any of it's religious organizations ( catholics, baptisits, etc..) I feel that all this structure of religion is man made. the only rules i feel are needed to be followed are in the bible and i feel the main ones are the 10 commandments. other then that its not neccesary. I believe in 1 and ony 1 God, but I feel God is everywhere and can be a woman, man, tree, and even a pile of dog crap, if he so chose to be. the point is, he is the higher power and you need to reconize that. so dont feel pressured to join a certain religion, as long as you are saved ( accepted jesus/God/holy ghost/spirit as your savior) then there is no worries. Dont judge others on reglion... dont judge at all.... its God's job to do that, not ours. so love everyone and try to live life according to your belief. I feel religion is man made, but FAITH isn't. I have faith, God is real, I love him, and I'm human so i will error, but the point is I try not too! :) God loves everyone, including you. So just pray to him and ask him for guidance :)

Pangel, you are a Spiritualist. You believe in a Supreme being but NOT in the "average" sense of a Deity. Your belief is in the Spirit of the Creator but not as a specific individual but, more as the Creative Force behind all that exists.

I hope that helps you out a little bit, (((((Pangel)))))

If you believe in The One True God, The Author of The Holy Book, The Creator, The Father, and you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, you definitely have a place, Jesus said that He would Go before us and prepare us a place in The Kingdom, You are Gods child, and each and every one of has a special gift, the very hairs on your head are numbered it says in the Bible.
All you need to do now is have a personal relationship with God, I don't know if you've accepted Jesus into your life, or not, if not, that is where you start, then You start praying and talking to God, and you will be guided in the direction God wants you to go in.

A Transcendental Universalist?

I've wondered the same thing!

Okay, my conception of God is more personal than yours, it seems, but other than that we are very similar. I've given up on trying to figure out a name for it, though, because no matter what we type, somebody is going to misunderstand, right?

So usually, if I want to try to "define" where I'm coming from to someone, I'll just type out that I believe in God, but have no religion.

And really, taking on a label would be like putting myself into a "box," and right now I'm really happy to be unconfined!
