God did exsist without the devil... he created the devil. The Devil was originally a beautiful angel. God gives us all the gift and privlidge of free will. even the angels. the devil is an angel gone bad. he got the idea that he wanted to have as much or more power than god. so he does selfish things to get people to turn away from god and worhship him instead.
i dont see how god 'threatins' us what do you mean by that?

Yes, because God create the Devil before he rebel against God.
God doesn't treatren us with the devil. The devil & God are now at opposite ends & humans happened to be drag by the devil into this spiritual battlefield.

Hey Rocco, go eat a fiery taco!
God is the Creator, the Devil the agitator.
He could exist without the devil, that is on the level!
The Devil, "as a free will agent", chose to threaten
mankind. The devil has come to rob, kill, and destroy.

This is simply my own theological concept based upon study and just one school of thought. Of course, you have the right to your own interpretation, even though neither of our interpretations actually change any facts.
In the school of thought of Theology which I follow, God indeed existed without Satan ( or the Devil). In the absence of sin and a perfect creation God existed before there was even time. In one school of thought, Satan ( or the devil) was an angel, a creation of God who wanted to be greater than God resulting in his being banished with his group of angels from the heavens.
In the story of Adam and Eve we have another example of sin taking place when left to one's own desires and the temptation of knowing all that God knows.
This ultimately led to a promise from God to one day send a Saviour as this sin separated mankind from his relationship with God.
So once again, a perfect creation is altered by sin, but through the mercies and love of God, a remedy is provided.
Those who subscribe to the school of thought of the end days also know that the devil has a place reserved for him because of the sin.
Certainly God can exist without the devil; it is not the evil that makes the perfect, but the sin of those, with a free will given by God, choosing to disobey God, resulting in the evil.
I would encourage you to read the rule of the devil in his period of time and also the limitations placed upon him. But Scripture even says that the devil knows of God and trembles for he knows his ultimate doom due to his own selfishness and pride. And remember that the common thread throughout, is not as much the threat of the devil, but more importantly what God is continuing to offer with His love and a way of reconcilliation.
I hope this provides some glimpse into a complicated and often misunderstood question. Even though a perfect God cannot allow sin in His presence, He gently calls us to reconcilliation and an abundance of love and peace.

There's no "if" or "could", God does exist and the Devil does exist. People who don't understand the true God see a power-hungry being, but the truth is He wishes to love and guide us into His blessings. When people feel betrayed, it's not God whose at fault, it's us because people are always the ones who turn their back on God.

Yes, God can easily exist without the devil. He doesn't threaten us with the devil.
Jesus said: "Do not make the mistake of confusing evil with the evil one, more correctly the iniquitous one. He whom you call the evil one is the son of self-love, the high administrator who knowingly went into deliberate rebellion against the rule of my Father and his loyal Sons. But I have already vanquished these sinful rebels. Make clear in your mind these different attitudes toward the Father and his universe. Never forget these laws of relation to the Father's will:
"Evil is the unconscious or unintended transgression of the divine law, the Father's will. Evil is likewise the measure of the imperfectness of obedience to the Father's will.
"Sin is the conscious, knowing, and deliberate transgression of the divine law, the Father's will. Sin is the measure of unwillingness to be divinely led and spiritually directed.
"Iniquity is the willful, determined, and persistent transgression of the divine law, the Father's will. Iniquity is the measure of the continued rejection of the Father's loving plan of personality survival and the Sons' merciful ministry of salvation."
About the "devil": The doctrine of a personal devil on [earth] Urantia, though it had some foundation in the planetary presence of the traitorous and iniquitous Caligastia, was nevertheless wholly fictitious in its teachings that such a "devil" could influence the normal human mind against its free and natural choosing. Even before Michael's bestowal on [earth] Urantia, neither Caligastia nor Daligastia was ever able to oppress mortals or to coerce any normal individual into doing anything against the human will. The free will of man is supreme in moral affairs; even the indwelling Thought Adjuster refuses to compel man to think a single thought or to perform a single act against the choosing of man's own will."
This traitor was shorn of all power and jurisdiction when Jesus incarnated on earth, and Jesus came to reveal God our LOVING Father in Heaven - no longer are we to concern ourselves with the olden ideas of a wrathful god threatening us with hellfire, damnation and the devil.

Of course. God created Lucifer (the devil). He was his most cherished angel at one point. God always has been and always will be. He existed before anything was created. He IS the creator of everything, so he did exist before the "devil".

Yes, He did exist, before Lucifer or anything else was created.
I am sorry that you feel threatened by the Devil. If you turn to God He will protect you from the attacks of the evil one. Are you WILLING?
