I read all the responses of why , etc.....

the catholic perspective seems to ignore the health issue of the woman, her ability to be employed, day care, disease and genetic issues, the financial ability of the family, the family dynamics for the child/ children, health issues of other family members, housing issues, economics..

The situation of the world today makes the idea of not practiceing some type of birth control extremly irresponsible...

God gave all creatures the ability to procreate their species.
God gave humans the sense to procreate wisely. it is your choice to do so. we are to treat our bodies as a temple of God. humans are also to have some self control. In the Catholic church sex is a treat of marriage and children are a gift from God. by using birth control you are trying to play God and reject His gift. there are various natural methods of birth control and those are fine to use.

the babies that are generally unplanned and beglected are unfortunately out of non mariatal situations - they should be chaste.

you make it sound like people shouldn't have to be nature adults and control their animal urges. you say why doesn't the church just alow birth control and i could easily say - why can't men keep it tucked in and women their legs closed?!

it's easier to put the blame on someone other then one's self.

<> Catholics always have and always will be against artificial birth control. < live in texas.>> They're not Catholic. They excommunicate themselves by virtue of their use of artificial birth control. Besides, it's not as if something morally wrong somehow inexplicably becomes morally right if enough people do it. < paying a premium.>> Premium or not premium, use of artificial birth control, as a means to it's intended end, is morally wrong. < covered for infections.>> That's ridiculous. Try and figure out the moral difference between penicillin and artificial birth control. < judge you himself>> But you're NOT allowing God to judge you Himself, not when you're not part of organized religion, especially God's One True Holy and Catholic Church.

The church considers it wrong to try and prevent a baby's conception.

Personally, I think that if God wants a baby to be conceived, he isn't going to let "birth control" get in the way.

Catholics believe contraception promotes the hedonistic aspect of sex while at the same time demotes the natural purpose of sex, which of course, leads to the the creation of a new person.

I think because they believe it's like playing God as far as when you get pregnant; maybe even a form of abortion.

God gave us the gift of sex for procreation and to bring married couples closer together. Birth control interferes with one of the purposes of sex.
